Thank you 🙏🏾 Yea running a lot of the performance X plugins can really be Taxing on the CPU. I also have a lot of unnecessary plugins that automatically load with my template that I don’t necessarily use on every track.

Once again.. great video.. i stayed with you all the way through and understood (which amazes me). But i have one question. After you set up routing with different Perform FX on different Groups.. and use Perform FX in one isolated Group.. Automation on to record what you did.. & then go to another group to add a different Perform FX.. will it be allowed, or will there be chaos.. & if so.. is the only way to handle that .. by dragging the groups sounds to a sound slot and then doing a different Perform FX to it again?? i hope you understand my question Lol

You can route things to a group and use that group as kinda like a Mix bus. It save on the CPU usage because your not loading a lot of plugins. You can do the same thing with other effects such as Delay and Reverb. Load just one of each and send those to different instruments.

hey man. great tutorial. appreciate it. quick question though. the plugin I am trying to use is only appearing as a sound plugin and not a group plugin. i can output to B1:S1 for example, but the second i do that it appears to mute everything.... any clues?

Hello, is the plug-in loaded under the group level or sounds level? Also if there’s no sound be sure to check the group the effects plugin is on is not muted. Even if the group the sound is under is not muted if it routed to a channel that is muted it won’t be audible.

Thank you! That’s a really good question. I haven’t really dove into Macros or Live performance on the Maschine yet. You got me interested though to see how I would do it. Ima mess around with it this weekend and see what kind of workflow I can come up with.

Aren't groups in Maschine essentially like a buss? I usually put all my drums in one group and melodies in another group. wouldn't the main group that contains those sounds kind of be a buss or no?

Hey thank you for commenting!!🙏🏾 Maschine workflow is awesome. Groups can be used as either Busses or individual tracks. I use it as a Buss for all of my drums and then i use a different group for my individual instruments. That why I love it so much because the workflow is so diverse. Thank you commenting!😁

Dumb question.....How did you get groups "A2, B2 etc"? I like that format. Is it just adding a ton of channels until you reach that number? I want to see multiple bus tracks together with the master when I'm mixing. Thank you!

There is no such thing as a dumb question:) Yea you have to add Groups until you get to A2 which is in Bank two. If your on the Maschine select Pad Mode and you will see Bank 1 at the Top. Once you have all the groups filled you will see the option to go over to Bank 2. It would be awesome to setup different Group Banks without having to Add 6 groups to get to another bank for submixing and Busing purposes.

Need help, A producer and I worked on a track that I started after he sent it back, I am trying to find away to edit it with like adding a few more things, my tag and a few more one shots. I drug it back into maschine on the #1pad but how do I get it to show back up at the top like it was when i created it like in the new project area. I am trying to get this track ready so I can release it. Thanks in advance.

Hey so what I would do is drag it pad 1 and then change the sampler engine to audio engine. That will let you see it as a wave form. Once you do that then I would add Pattern 1 of that group with the sound on it the Song view. Once you do that right click on the pattern in song view and change it to a clip and then drag it out for how long the track is. Then I would work from the song view

I don't understand the differences between mix bus, submix bus, group...

It’s a little confusing. In Maschine you can’t just add a separate Bus channel like in most DAWs. You pretty much just use a group and route other groups to that one group. Once you do that one group will essentially be a Bus for all the groups that you have routed to them. I hope that helps lol.
