It is so pretty! Can I ask if it is okay to leave the bleach in the lower parts of hair that you do first till the moment you decide that the sections you did the last are lifted enough? I am always worried about the lower parts melting

Very pretty would it also look good doing a bit wider weaves through the internal part of hair then as you get to the crown and parietal ridge then go more dainty and fine ?

Lovely, thanks for great videos as always. Did you mean mix more developer than Colour? Only because it would be more alkaline if you mix less than 1:1 and more likely to get lift, as opposed to mixing 1:2 which would be more acidic and less likely to lift the root
@BobbyHairStudio
@BobbyHairStudio Жыл бұрын
I did mean More colour than developer! I have no idea why, now that you explain that (maybe mine is the placebo effect?)
@lacyla8367
@lacyla8367 Жыл бұрын
@@BobbyHairStudio ah could be! Or less developer means less energy into the alkalinity of the hair colour so it just subtly deposits, will defo try it, thank you. You are a fantastic hairdresser I commend you, you inspire me to do better especially with regards to toning
@LeneLovstrand
@LeneLovstrand Жыл бұрын
@@BobbyHairStudio It's not a placebo effect, it's actually true that if you mix a little less developer (hydrogen peroxide) than color- it's a less likelihood of bumping the base. Hydrogen peroxide on its own can lift hair color, and even though a lot of brands advertise that their demis/semis or whatever- don't lift, it often does. (No matter how low Vol) It's no way of getting around it if the natural hair has a lot of warm undertones to it. Another great tip for avoiding bumping the natural color is to mix the bowl and let it be in open air for at least 10min before applying it. Then it looses some of its oxidization, that would have happened IN THE HAIR instead of the bowl. And its the oxidization we want to avoid when applying toners and glosses. I hope all of this made sense! A lot of love and admiration from Norwegian Master Colorist

I really wish you were in the us.. I may leave NY for a Canada visit tho as your work seems so worth it.. what does an average color correction go for in your salon? And what's the hourly cost of dying someone's hair as well as hourly cost of extensions, without the hair cost

I have gone to my stylist for about 15 months because I'm wanting gray highlights. I go in about 3 times a year and I still have blond highlights. Any suggestions?
@BobbyHairStudio
@BobbyHairStudio Жыл бұрын
I think you need to ask for an ashier toner. The highlights are probably light enough to accommodate an ashy/silver toner on top. Do they start out ashy and then become brassy over time? Or is it that the highlights are never ashy to begin with?
