can tang soo do be used in mma like every martial art is it good and effective for self defence and fighting

Yes, I've used it while cross-training in MMA and other styles as well.

Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson uses a karate fighting style (similar to TSD) in the UFC and he is #5 ranked welterweight in the world. He should be ranked higher IMO. There are some other fighters with karate backgrounds as well, but he's probably the best.
