You forgot to mention that you have to select the “Proceed” dialogue option directly before the Berdley fight. I had to do this several times because I didn’t realize I was picking the wrong dialogue option.

On where things could possibly go with Berdly after this, there IS the little line of flavor text that still carries over from the normal route about the closet and how "A large person could easily fit inside." ...So, uh, yeah, what do you think of the chances that Kris getting everything from the computer room to bring to the School also involved stuffing Berdly's corpse in there? Add in how there's a festival the next day, and you've got the perfect setup for nobody even finding out where he went for quite a while, and even doubly so if Undertale's rules about monsters turning to dust sort of apply here. Just imagine someone on a search team for Berdly checking in the closet and all they see is a pile of super old and dusty electronics...

If monsters turn to dust when they die in deltarune then Berdly would be dust already by the time the fountain was sealed. Either that or he would turn to dust in front of everyone's eyes because the fountain was keeping his body from dusting. So either he is dead and monsters don't dust in Deltarune or his body is alive but his mind isn't because his soul killed in the Cyber World leaving him braindead.

Well, I just finished pacifist and I was thinking about if I wanted to do this route, especially with the harder Spamton NEO fright I heard about... After seeing this video... yikes... Honestly, how this is going to continue is a bigger cliffhanger than the actual mainplot. In the transition from Ch1 to Ch2, Lancer just kinda convinced everyone to forgive the party for violence, but I don't see a similar thing happening here. Noelle is going to go through emotional turmoil over what she did and there is no logical way around it, except maybe medication and heavy therapy to literally make her forget.

This is a very good how to, your narration and voice are very clear. Though there is a misconception in the video. As long as Noelle is not in your party (Cyber field and Queen's castle) your interactions with enemies don't matter. You can spare all you want and it won't ruin the Snowgrave route.

@@Chiken No problem. I don't think that sparing/recruiting before Noelle appears would change the dialogue with Queen; as freezing them during Snowgrave would make them "lost". I know that after Noelle leaves the party, at the Queen's castle you can still recruit Tasq Manager and Mauswheel. But I don't know the effects of that yet. Actually to amend this comment. I think that when you start the snowgrave route the recruit option at save points is greyed out?

@@Chiken Important note: in deltarune Fight =/= Kill. It's implied throughout the game, especially in this snowgrave route, that the player cannot kill enemies (they just run away). This reinforces the theme of "Your choices don't matter". The only way this can happen is because the player finds a loophole, an oversight in the simulation, so to speak, a way to exert their will in a world where they have no freedom. To quote Spamton "YOU THINK MAKING [Frozen Chicken] WITH YOUR [Side Chick] IS GONNA LET YOU DRINK UP THAT [Sweet, Sweet] [Freedom Sauce]?" I think the theme of Deltarune is going to be about taking back your freedom, and exerting your will in the world, be it for good or ill.

@@Chiken Okay, now that I have finished my Snowgrave run I found that the dialogue does change if you recruit Tasque Manager and Mauswheel. The Queen, when you enter the castle world will ask about where Nubert is, before Trashy tells her that Nubert would only leave if you recruited everyone (I think that this is the same dialogue as a normal run if you failed to recruit everyone). When you talk with the Queen on the 1st floor of the castle at the barred door. Instead of lamenting that there would be no-one to force into enjoying her "amazing room", she asks Ralsei how many breakable pots he has. Upon second interaction (I don't know if this is any different as I couldn't find a video where anyone talks to the Queen twice), she asks Kris to give Noelle her regards and the leftovers to Berdly.

I do not think i am mentally capable of finishing it, as much as i loved the challenging fight against Spamton, everything else just felt too awful. Toby wants people to regret their actions, he's got me down. See, the run isn't quite this strict. You can do any battles however you want until you reach Noelle. Also, even then, the only real requirement of those battles is to make Ice Shock the attack which finishes each enemy off - Kris is thus free to help soften them up in preparation for being put on ice, or you can heal if need be. I think there's also other common "requirements" that aren't actually requirements.

Funny enough, deltarune and undertale are more similar than one would believe(other than the universes being so close). In undertale, you make all the choices and your influence impacts the entirety of the story… In Deltarune however, you don’t make all the choices, YET, you still have influence.. And by manipulating the choices of others in the story(mainly characters who don’t exist in the main premise of the game like the HEROS(Kris, Susie, and Ralsei), you can have effects that would resemble heavy set choices like Killing or Sparing in Undertale. And Noelle, with the ability of choices since she; A: isn’t a hero, B: can be influenced by not kris, but YOUR choices, and C: has a spell strong enough to ACTUALLY kill… she is a perfect candidate to use as a pawn for the players use. in a sense… you play the same part as in Undertale: The Influencer.

The ending will stay 1. Keep in mind the Undertale neutral runs already vary greatly, from Mettaton becoming the ruler (as both Toriel and Undyne are dead) or Alphys becoming the ruler (abort genocide in Hotland); In the end of those runs, monsters remain underground while you leave it behind - Whatever ending in Deltarune will be the same, but that doesn't mean what happens inbetween them won't affect anything inbetween

Erm you don't have to brutally murder everything at the beginning,key things to do it is:always say "proceed",don't spare a monster when you get noelle,always cast ice shock and defend with kris,when you are at the ferris wheel,do these in these steps:kill every monster with ice shock,interact with the ferris wheel and say "I will ride with you" and then select "noelle will ride with me" and then go to the advertiser on the far right,interact with him and say "we're something else" then walk away then he will offer a ring,select "get it" all the time then equip it then do the same with spamton dumpster stuff but everything has to die with ice shock until you get to berdly,keep defending until you get max tp then cast snowgrave then the rest is just simple

Maybe I was just more prepared for this one (loaded up on healing items before the fight) but I had an easier time with Spamton neo in snowgrave somehow. Luckily I somehow beat both versions of the fight on the first try, but the first time I fought him with the full party was much closer to the wire (pun intended). The second time wasn't much of a hassle. Anyone else have it go like that for them?

i keep getting stuck at berdly, i let kris fall because there’s supposed to be dialog about Berdly trying to convince Noelle to go back with them, get it doesn’t show. i’ve done everything correctly, i brought her to the house thing, froze enemies, got the ring, and kept freezing more enemies. i did the ferris wheel correctly and made her proceed though the puzzles and i even got the dumb thorn ring, the only thing that i did that wasn’t on this list was wear noelles watch but that’s only because i heard susie convinced her the dark world was a dream and when the go see her father noelle will see the watch and freak out
