I finally figured out one of the reasons by braided hairstyles look so different than when I watch a video. I've been doing everything with a french braid. (there's also my hairs thicker, not as longer, and my skills is sub-par). but yay for the new insight about the braid technique itself. So now on to master the dutch braid. So far I tried once; let's just say I need practice.

I find the french braid easier for beginners because I tried to do the dutch braid first ( Im a beginner) which you braid crossing under which is the opposite of a normal braid so its more complicated to think about while the french crosses over like a normal braid does. This is just my opinion though and to each their own! :)

@Loepsie Yep, very true. I am Dutch and I swear until today I did not even know about "Dutch braids". And I do wear braids! Must be something like the French who always think that Mimolet is a typical Dutch cheese; it is not, it is French!

Ah, so it's called a Dutch braid. I've just always called it upside down French braid. :D
