my man please use a jackstand or something

jack stands actually destroy your pinch welds over time, I would just use one of the wheels you took off and slide it under the car if it makes you feel more comfortable
@me262d5 ай бұрын
@@JT-zn5mg I have purchased rubber covers for my jack stands at Harbor Freight and replace them when they begin to wear out. This prevents damage to the pinch welds. I also engage the parking break and use wheel chucks to prevent the car from rolling. The Floor jack will slowly begin to lower itself over a period of time which is dangerous and is not a stable platform to work under the car.
@JT-zn5mg5 ай бұрын
@@me262d I would definitely recommend getting a new floor jack if yours lowers down after a period of time, floor jacks are not supposed to do that
@me262d5 ай бұрын
@@JT-zn5mg I should have specified that it is only a gradual lowering over a period of time. I use a Pittsburgh heavy duty floor jack on a regular basis. The owner's manual indicates the need to change the hydraulic oil every three years, bleed air from the system and then recheck the oil level. I tend to forget to do this every three years, so If I notice that it is not maintaining it's height, I will check the oil level, add fluid as needed and then my jack is back to normal operations.

Bout to swap the rotors on my girls car she has a 2013 TC , do you have a insta bro ?

Update I swapped the rotors everything looked good ! It brakes good , But there is a scrubbing sound it’s not metal on metal it’s almost like the brake pad is just scrubbing the new rotor . I also swapped the front brake pads to .

My friend that I work with said that it was perfectly fine it would go away in a few days that everything needs time to set in and the rotors need to wear down a little bit. Is that true ?
