9:59 The proper way to adjust the softness of shadows cast by a light source is to adjust the size of the light source. For a Sun light, which is (in effect) infinitely far away, this is given as an angle (shown as “Radius” in your Blender version, “Angle” in 2.83). For strict accuracy this should be about 0.5°, but larger values produce softer shadows, which I like.

Not sure about that. You will need to share the project file with him if he know blender . Other then that there is an option to share your model with clients by using 3d Verge software where you can upload your model online and then preview and interact with the model like changing the material or model etc.You can share that model with any one.

But perhaps include some architecture exterior modeling. I'm considering switching from sketchup to full blender work flow with eevee but cant find the best work flow for modeling architecture. Real time rendering with eevee is great for designing architecture as it gives instant feedback while changing your design. But i find modeling architecture in blender a bit hard compared to sketchup. Maybe if you could share ideas on how to have better work flow in blender when doing architecture. Thanks!

very useful. I didn't realize it was so complicated to do outdoor scenes in Eevee. Is there really no way to hide the HDRI other than to make a big sphere? that feels a bit out-dated :/
@SaqibHussain885 жыл бұрын
Thanks , this method is still used for games its not that outdated . You can add more to it by adding cloud thru the particles or may be you can create maps for cloud that can be controlled with its node material.
@cr0uchingtiger5 жыл бұрын
@@SaqibHussain88 it's outdated for 3d modelling and rendering software. Since HDRIs have been around you've had the option to not see them because often, while they provide great lighting/reflections, they look awful as a background. Blender isn't a game engine.
@SaqibHussain885 жыл бұрын
@@cr0uchingtiger 3d modelling and rendering are still updating themself to make them real time like gaming engines wonder why every one talks about real time cause its the future for rendering stuff. If you think like that then you will feel that ray tracing is outdated , but now 3d industry is trying to make a rendering engine which will include both raytrace and realtime . Not only blender many other 3d softwares are trying to create realtime rendering and are trying to achieve real results with it . Second blender can become a game engine search Blender UPBGE .

I'm having problems with a flat wall and flickering when the camera rotates, the wall surface flickers. I rendered at 720p and it was fine then when I rendered at 1080p I got flickering. Is it A: Cubemap size, B: Light Probe or C: Samples? Or none of the above? Any help appreciated! Samples = 64 Cubemap = 2048
@SaqibHussain884 жыл бұрын
It will be great if you provide a pic for that but I think it only happens when two plane meshes are overlapping each other that's why you will see the flickering effect . To get rid of that you will need to change the position of one of the wall slightly inward or outward of the wall so that they don't overlap. If it does not work then do share a picture . All of the above options you have mentioned they have nothing to do with it .
@Pulse2AM4 жыл бұрын
@@SaqibHussain88 Thanks! I know what kind of flicker you're talking about it's not that kind. I can't post a pic but it shows up as a slight color shift between frames in the animation, both as the camera moves and also when it's static. As I said not in the 720p only in the 1080p animation renders. It is a Sketchup model which has two meshes back to back.

Amazing but, Irradiance volumes are mostly used for indoor environments. EEVEE is capable of rendering realistic global illumination in outdoor environments, so the irradiance volumes aren't needed for it. Just use a 32-bit HDRI in Environment Texture Node and the outdoor lighting is physically-correct. Besides that, Irradiance Volumes are limited to 64 in EEVEE in a scene. So this is not suitable for big scenes like a city or something else. Also for better interactive viewport rendering in EEVEE, toggle the camera view and activate Depth of Field (Viewport View doesn't support Depth of Field). Anyway nice work!
@SaqibHussain885 жыл бұрын
If you don't use irradiance volume in your scene blender will not calculate the indirect light so you can not get the indirect light only by just using HDR . You must need an irradiance volume in your scene to calculate the indirect bounce light .
