The thing I love about your videos the most, is that use simple cheap things to make tools and supplies. I don't like it when youtubers just try to sell items to make money. This is how most of us operate, and your ingenuity & knowledge is appreciated.

How do you clean/sanitize plants before adding them to your tank?
@plantlifeproject3 жыл бұрын
I really haven’t been sanitizing them, just using healthy plants and washing thoroughly before adding to the tank

The frogbit might have died out due to lack of ammonia. Frogbit is a floating plant that heavily prefers ammonia. In my experience it is also very sensitive to water movement, and as you said needs a lot of light. These traits make it prefect for filter less tanks imo. It grows huge and fast and consumes all the ammonia, and with no flow from a filter it works great. But in a large filtered tank maybe not so much.

What’s the difference between distilled water and reverse osmosis water
@plantlifeproject2 жыл бұрын
They are 2 different methods of water filtration. Please don’t ask me which one is better, I don’t know 😂. Distilled water is more readily available for me since I don’t have an RO filter yet.

Do you keep the lights on all day and night?
@plantlifeproject2 жыл бұрын
The lights are on 6-12 hours per day, depending on the tank
