Why didn't you talk about "total number of listings available on that keyword" so that a newbie could also rank his etsy listing on 1st page by finding a product having high demand but low competition, however you did not even talk anything about competition, why so?

Thanks for the informative video. You mentioned one of the keywords was trademarked at around 4:40 in the video. How did you know? Does Everbee mark it somehow?

Hi Brian! Everbee doesn't tell you if a phrase is trademarked or not. For this specific example, I immediately knew it was trademarked because it was a Grinch sweatshirt. You can't sell anything Grinch-related unless you have a license to sell it. For general phrases, I use tmsearch.uspto.gov/ to check for trademarks and I highly advise checking before you begin designing anything. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

Hi Danielle! Yes it does! You will need to download Chrome in order to run the Everbee chrome extension on Etsy. You won’t be able to use their product analytic tool on Safari unless you use their web app, which doesn’t allow you to run the program directly on Etsy’s website, so their chrome extension is better in my opinion. Hi Danielle! That is a great question and concern. I would focus on using both general keywords like that with a higher search volume as well as several long tail keywords that are more descriptive and niched down so that you have a higher chance of being found. I think it’s always smart to have a strategic mixture of both. Also make sure you have very high-quality and professional mockup photos that stand out, especially for your thumbnail photo, so that people be drawn to click on your listing in search results. On top of this, make sure your design is unique and different BUT incorporates trending elements. If your listing gets engagement and converts after it is first listed when the algorithm is testing it, then it will perform better and have a better chance of ranking for more general keywords. ​@@yorkiepuppykisses Hi! For their Gildan 18000 sweatshirt, they are charging $22.80 for sizes S-XL and a few dollars more for sizes 2XL and 3XL, plus the $5.76 for shipping. Looking through their description and reviews, it looks like their designs are vinyl heat-transfers so they are most likely doing it in house and are able to do it cheaper. People are willing to pay more for high-quality printed designs so you can still compete in that area, especially if they love your design. If you are able to create a spin off of this that is unique and different, then you will be able to stand out and make sales. It will NEVER work to just copy high-performing listings. The current seller is already dominating so it won’t do you any good to copy. Take the trending elements and incorporate it into your own unique design in order to be competitive even when their product is priced lower. If a customer loves your design, they will be willing to pay a few dollars more. I hope this helps!

Hi Brenon, do you know why the search totals are so different compared to Sales Samurai? I have one keyword with over 2,000 searches a month on Sales Samurai and only 5 searches a month on Everbee.

All Etsy tools have a different algorithm for their stats and they all use different data that Etsy provides to them. EverBee displays the monthly search volume for each keyword and works with the data Etsy is currently providing. These numbers aren't always 100% correct, but Everbee says their algorithm gives an average accuracy rate of ~80%, and if you compare your shop revenue for your best selling listing to their data it shows, it's honestly really close. Nevertheless, thanks for the heads-up! I will reach out to Everbee and see if I can get any more details. I hope this helps!
