Good tips. I learned crossovers without any real effort or thought when playing pond hockey as a kid. It is alway easier to learn this stuff when your a kid, your center of gravity is lower and you don't have as far to fall when it doesn't work out.

"people are scared to execute..." one of the many reasons why I had trouble doing parallel turns when I was learning. and getting off and onto curbs. and going over speed bumps. and other things. you just gotta do it.

The hardest part has been trusting turns and letting my weight lean over to whatever side I'm turning to.

I love your practical explanations! It is far more understandable than when people just talks in front of the camera. PS: I am planing to visit your shop soon to buy my "ultimate skates" and replace my decathlon set =D

Thanks a lot. This is really one of the best video about the cross over that I saw 👍I appreciate that you make a big focus on the safety part of the training and the practise because I am 50 years old and yes, I'm always afraid of hurting myself and not be able to skate for a long time... Thanks for the great video. The "skating on one leg" video is labeled as "for kids" which prevents people from commenting or adding to favorites. Thought of letting you know just in case that was unintentional. Thanks again!

Is it easier to do the crossovers on rocker frames? Also are rocker frames just a change in the wheels or are the frames also different ?
@Thisissoul29 күн бұрын
yes maneuverable frames make it easier to do cross overs, but that is not what should stop you. just practice the steps in the video and you should be able to do it on any skate. to rocker your setup usually you have to change the frame, but sometimes it is a build in feature of a frame that you can change the position with the frame spacer or axle.
@guerraflorida Жыл бұрын
Bro, when you buy those frames, they come individually or in pairs?
@ZacharyRGrant Жыл бұрын
frames are almost always sold in pairs

That’s a tall height. I barely see tall people skate. Most of the times I see shorter heights and more lean skaters. I’m not sure if height or weight have a big factor on skating or not. I’m about average 6’0 220lbs I find the smaller wheels easier to crossover than big wheels.

if you fall like that on your hands, you'll break your bones plus the skin will come off your palms.

nop, not if you practice them. learn more about this in our skate falling technique video's

Doing it like that with stiff long legs .... Forget it.
@kingpinda25 ай бұрын
then get flexible long legs. you simply need to practice.
