Warrior Pose 2 can be challenging, not only in relation to the strength of the legs but the opening required in the hips. Try this variation using the wall and two blocks and see if it feels more accessible 😊

Finally someone explaining this Yoga pose properly. There is so much detail in each pose that is not given. I’m so grateful you posted this video explaining the intricacies of the pose. This is one of my favourites and I’m not that flexible. My Iyengar class yoga teacher also taught us to spread our toes apart as much as possible. Doing Iyengar❤️🥰 Yoga has helped me to touch my toes which is something I could never do before even as a child. Thank you 🙏🏻💕💗🌿🌸and Thank yOu BKS Iyengar 🙏🏻

Hi Actually I am little bit confuse of back foot. Why we turn our foot in. Is it to used the inner muscles of leg? What is logic behind this

Hi Shilpa. We turn the back foot in to help anchor weight in the back heel and yes it can help us lift and activate the muscles of the inner thigh. 😀

Hi , i have a doubt i read yoga the iyengar way book and it is instructedthat the front leg shpuld be in line with the arch of the back foot . So the front leg is bit on the outer side as compared to the leg behind which here is opposite. Can you explain please

Hi, yes there general instruction is to align the heel of the front (turned out) foot with the arch of the back foot, although it can be practised with different alignment as well. I did have the alignment of heel to arch in this video - perhaps the camera angles didn't show that very well 😌
