+Charisma on Command The part about trump's tricks are that they're not actually tricks You are wrong about jeb not having any way to win I'll explain. For example. Lets say donald says what said. But there are two options you can do. You can actually start pointing out his lies and explain how they're lies, regardless of what donald is saying in return(basically ignore return comments), otherwise, donald wins by preventing you from speaking out against him by making you believe that interrupting him is somehow bad for your position(it's all about faith here and straw man). As long as you make the opponent believe he has lost, he will not fight to find out in reality if he lost or not. As long as you make your opponent believe what you are saying is right, the opponent will not want to comment on it even though what really happened there was that he just went away from the original topic, kinda like straw man. And jeb just decided not to speak out which in reality is beneficial for him instead of the former. Had jeb just continued pointing out his failures and lies, it wouldn't matter if donald was right about bush not apologizing or not because the lies are the bigger issue. A small victory doesn't overshadow the bigger. It's like saying that someone is disrespectful but the other guy point out how much of a liar the guy is. Once the people see the first guy as a liar, they will no longer think the second guy is disrepectful. Once people know the lies and tricks he's using, the entire debate has already been won as donald will lose credibility. Donald simply changed the subject(subtly) as if it's about moral qualities and alpha male character and defeated jeb at it. No he really did. But the problem is that this is a straw man. Instead of reacting/answering to jeb's comments specifically, he flipped it around and pointed out Jeb's faults instead at which point jeb kind of got embarrassed and make the biggest mistake by not continuing on the topic of donald being a liar as if to save face. OR he could've just waited till it's his turn, remember as much as possible what the first scrap was about and refute it on his terms. I think the first is the better option though. It's true donald used a trick, the thing is, it's not inescapable, or at least it's salvageable. There are bad decisions and there are worse. By continuing his original comment, even though he might face minor credibility issues as donald would turn out to be right about him, but at least he would finally get out the bigger picture and point out him being a liar at which point, once people see this, they will ignore that fact that jeb was disrespectful and accusative. The bigger issues, especially on politics, outweigh the smaller issues like how clam and composed a person is. Donald is wining not because he's so "rad" or because he's a good liar but because he silences people effectively. He is good a making the opponent believe he has worse moral qualities or that he lost the exchange(which really wasn't even on topic). I'm not saying donald isn't right necessarily. He could really be much better than Jeb at being president better in terms of morality than Jeb, Idk. His "tricks" are like a weapon, it can be used for good but also for evil. The thing is, it's now up to us to figure out for what purpose they were used. At this point I can only suggest listening to trump on all other places than just one debate. All I'm saying is, to be fair, Jeb could've still turned it a bit around. It's NOT like this comment is so defeating that there is not response to it, because I believe there is. Thanks for reading this far,haha, no really though.

+Ryan SCY What he means, is that he knows what to say, it's his instinct. But he has no idea how to run a country, not really. I mean, sure, he can make people vote for him. And sure, he's convincing. But he has no plan, no strategy, no hope, not really. He can manipulate you to like him, but he'll never be a good person, and much less a good president. If we take Sanders, for example, he has a plan for the economy, which has worked before, multiple times. Tax the rich more, the poor less. This is smart. This is how you make a country grow, economically. Trump doesn't want this, this would mean that he has to pay more tax, and that's a repulsive thought. He won't make America ''Great again'', because he won't try to do so, he'll make it beneficial towards himself, and nothing/no one else. This is the man you are voting for. He won't actually make a wall across the southern border, and he won't actually make Mexico pay for that wall, don't be idiotic. He is not fit to lead, but he is fit to collect votes. He is also manipulative and persuasive. He is a tad bit narrow-minded, but that's beside point. Point is, he is unfit for rulership, as Obama proved to be. Sure, he was the best option, but that says little. So was Bush, and Reagan, and so on.

Trump himself has incurred debts of almost a billion dollars., All three of his casinos in Atlantic City filed for bankruptcy, and the best of the three, Trump Plaza, was losing almost $9 million a year. Banks would no longer lend him the kind of money he needed anymore An investigative report found hundreds of liens, judgments and at least 60 lawsuits against Trump and his businesses alleging that he has not fully paid workers for their labor and in some instances refused to pay commissions for his own lawyers and real estate brokers. Since 2005, Trump's businesses have also racked up 24 violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act for not paying employees minimum wage or overtime pay. Mike, never take ANYONE’S word for ANYTHING.... Ive been studying psychology and negotiation/influence along with sales for the past 1.5 years. Every single thing you said is on the money! Perfectly described too. A couple things to add to this: notice how Trump doesnt "respond" or "react" to others, that because he would lose the Alpha position in the situation because he would look subordinate. Why this is important is because if you can keep the alpha position in a situation through tactics ,like this and others, then yours ideas and his perspective is taking for granted and everyone is seeing stories and ideas through your frame of mind. The reporters are taking trying to de-perspective his arguments, by taking the same thing he said or did and shift the perspective to make him look bad or whatever they like. He has to fight them with different combinations of tactics like the ones described and many others. Here is a good example of how he forces his perspective to be taking for granted: I am a badass because i have a tattoo. That is one perspective, here is another. I have a tattoo because im trying to become a badass. Its all about how you look at it and the strongest best perspective always wins in a social encounter. P.S. NONE OF THIS MATTERS, unless your in a high stakes social situation; election, pitching a big deal, convincing your boss to give you a raise, getting a new job, etc.

The key is: simplify, simplify, simplify. Then be as repetitive as humanly possible. He is also using a hand movement to emphasize each important word.

Grammar lesson here. You may find this entertaining. At 9:15 the commentator said: "This is how humans, including you and I, make decisions." It is correct to say: "This is how humans, including you and me, make decisions." The teacher at school was right, we say: "You and I are going with Alan," but we do not say: "You and me are going with Alan." We should not say: "Alan is coming with I," nor: "Alan is coming with you and I." Again, "I do something for you, and you do something for me;" not: "I do something for you, and you do something for I." Also: "He does something for you and me" is the same as "He does something for you and for me." But school teachers usually have not made clear the difference between being the subject or being the object of the sentence. In other words, if the verb is the ball, are you the pitcher or the catcher? If you're the pitcher, say "I"; if you're the catcher, say "me". (For following along this far, Thanks!)

I am a retired clinical psychiatrist. I specialized in psycho therapy sometimes using clinical hypnosis. My frequent goal was to help motivate people to modify their thinking to reframe their emotions. Your concepts and ideas are absolutely on target. Brilliant! I don’t often hear explanations of complex issues that are so easy to understand. Were you influenced by Milton Erickson? BTW, Donald Trump has the unique tool set and personality to actually lead us thru this mess and drain the swamp. IMHO. MAGA

+Dave Catleugh If knowing how to handle people were enough, we should just elect the top salesperson in the US and call it quits. If that person doesn't know a thing about nuclear triads, far east Asia political relations, or the world in general, it's not big deal right? In the words of Ben Carson "It's only four years."
@catleugh8 жыл бұрын
+Jake Mabey You're right, knowing how to handle people isn't enough on its own. I actually think he'll do OK though. I would be more worried about four years of Clinton, than four years of Trump.

***** yea I agree all I'm saying is that just cause you can handle people doesn't mean youl make a good president, it's definitely important for being a good president but it alone will not make you one. infact it could be dangerous in the hands of a "bad person" I used Hitler as an example because he really knew how to handle people , sway his population and so on with his great charisma however he was not a good leader because he was not a good person. He used the people and prayed on their ego to fufill his agenda and in the processe he created chaos. I want a president who genuinely cares about people and who can handle people among other things. Not a tyrant who can sway the population and turn them to the dark side lol... it is like the force really it can be used for good or for bad and the faint of heart are easily influenced by its suggestion ( a large portion of the population). btw im happy your not a fan of Trump the leas people who support him the better.

+comochinganconesto Interesting, Trump is the only voice of reason in this debate. ifference between Trump and the rest of the yahoos running is that he lives in the real world and has seen first hand the impressive list of failures the political elite has They're selling our country to the highest builder. Everyone sees this Everyone complains about it Yet everyone continues to vote for the same people who will continue to sell our country. ...and you don't see the reason why people support Trump? Look at Merkel in Germany. She shows nothing but absolute disgust for her own people...and people continue to support her.

TLDR: How to persuade (and influence or even possibly manipulate) someone and how to recognize patterns of someone does this to you. USE WITH CAUTION. All POV will be when this is happening to you. 1. Double Bind This is where all options on a prompt will always benefit them. Saying nothing makes them win, keep saying something makes it look like you’re rude/hiding something and they win. The only way to get away with this is to create a new frame. 2. Simple Repetition Repeating key words gets you to remember those words as their or opposing side’s characteristics. This can go good for them and bad for you based on the intonation of the words. This is why companies have jingles. Repetition sticks well. The simplest ideas stick around the best, letting you grow better 3. Social Proof They have a statistic where other people agree with. You might not have even watched previous interviews or it may not be necessarily true. But saying something that other people agree with makes it feel like you’re not the only one Avoiding negative social proof also is key. Diverting and being defensive avoids attention on their criticisms. Having social proof from authority also shows that “smart people” support their side. 4. Persuasive Stories > Statistics and Huge Numbers Rational Evidence is hard to grasp. Emotional evidence makes it easier in a form of a story.
