For anyone doing this, make sure you install all 4 of the depots in the description. The last 3 are your dlc's which may be the reason why you get an error message is because you dont actually have the dlc. Just go through the last 3 depots and copy and paste them into the console to see which dlc you have so you can replace it. Also, if you open f4se and it shows an error message, just press ok and it will still run as f4se is confused because of the new update and its being used in a older system (The version before the update) Make sure to check what version you have as well and then, you're all Set! (this is for anyone confused or wondering how to do it, there is more language translation downloads on the nexus mod page in the posts of the Fallout 4 Script Extender. Scroll down and you'll find them there!)

I definitely drag and dropped the depots in instead of copy pasta cause figured I'd get it right the first try 😅 feels bad if I have to re-download, something something hubris

Figured it out, stupidly didn't do it on a fresh install of the game, or even purge all my vortex mods. Just hit purge, then verified files on steam, then full Uninstaller and reinstall, did all the depot stuff/remove cc content, launched launched loader, closed and deployed all vortex mods. Working like a dream now! Thx for the video too, was defs too worried to try anything on my own when I saw what to do in forums, the visual aid 100% helped and calmed my nerves about screwing it all up xp

Dunno if you're still having this issue but I would suggest making sure that all the creation club content that got installed with the update is gone from the Data folder within your Fallout 4 directory. Everything should start with "cc". It's stated as optional, but I know for myself it wouldn't work past the first load screen. Hope this helps

I don't think so. Unlike Skyrim, Fallout 4 hasn't been updated for far longer. Many script extender modders have no doubt moved on. I wouldn't be holding out hope for 90% of F4SE mods in terms of months.

It wouldn't solve much. Individual mods would still need to be updated. All that would work would be F4SE, which is a framework that does nothing on its own.

Also this new update was basically a brand new framework. It's going to take a lot of time, the SE guys are pretty dedicated. Also like as said somewhere else, every single modder would have to come back from 2019 or so and update their mods lol, a whole pandemic between that time so I wouldn't be surprised if some people moved on
