What if your fuel pump is dead but you still need to drain tank?

Then you'll have to remove the fuel tank from the vehicle and either pour it out or siphon it out once the fuel filler neck is removed (that is what is limiting you from being able to siphon)

So, you can't bypass the relay by connecting a wire to the fuel pump relay terminals in the fuse box? (Essentially running the FP non-stop)

I wish it was that simple. Chrysler engineers had the smart idea of making the fuel pump relay an integral part of the "total integrated power module(TIPM)." From my understanding, it is basically inside of the fuse box and if it fails, the dealership replaces the entire TIPM. Such a dumb design...gotta love those engineers.

what you are calling a fuse box under the hood is a tip module you can use a good scan tool to access it and run the fuel pump .

Yes, some scan tools can possibly do it, this how ever was demonstrated for the everyday guy who doesn't have access to a higher end scan tool. My autel maxisys wouldn't do it unfortunately.

Any way to manually drain??? It i took off the rubber hose still cant get the siphon in there so close to just drilling a hole in it cause i dont see any way around it the fuel pump has failed

Sadly no. They really wanted to keep people from siphoning gas. Such a pain in the butt. Best of luck

I thought the diesel pump nozzle was too big to fit into an unleaded truck's filler neck? I'm not sure since I don't have a diesel vehicle.

Yah! Way too big, the poor girl had to hold the diesel nozzle there just outside the rim of the gasoline tank mouth to fill it the entire time...

What size hose did you use? Any special fittings or just slide hose over?

It was 3/8” hose if you wanna add to the description. Worked like a charm. I still have issues. Replaced spark plugs fuel injectors fuel pump o2 sensors front and rear, new cats, new ignition coil packs im not sure what else to do maybe MAP sensor? I changed all the fuel today. Running rough at idle takes alot to get it up to 75mph, slight white smoke at revs smells a little funny. My fuel vapor canisters are clogged surely thats not it.

You can put diesel in a gasser. Just not the other way around.

Yah, gasoline in a diesel doesn't end well. Those high pressure fuel pumps don't last long without the lubrication of the diesel, and things tend to go boom
