Hello, thanks for your video, I learned a lot, but I have a question, after changing the coolant, there will be air left in a certain part of the pipe, where is the valve to discharge the air, I saw some cars have a bleed valve next to the expansion tank, but I can't find it on the Focus car, do you know where it is or how to solve the problem of air being trapped in the pipe? I think this is very important, thank you

Ford specifies ORANGE anti-freeze which has a completely different chemical make-up. The green anti-freeze does not meet Ford's requirements.

They actually specify a yellow now the orange is not being made anymore...but yes you are correct...the yellow motorcraft is compatible with the old orange but I would not run universal without doing a whole flush it can gel things up and cause issues....idk why people dont just grab the proper stuff lol

@@outdat3d-04zx10r-ha - I just had to replace the water outlet housing in my Focus and while at the dealership for the part I just asked for the coolant too since I was there. They informed me what you said here; the orange coolant has been superseded by the yellow. The thing that gets me is that the "yellow" coolant looks exactly like the green coolant I've used all my life.

@@1001Hobbies it does look really green lol....and also I literally just got done doing my first drain and refill of coolant(car has 110k miles 2014 ST2)...I used the yellow but after running the car for 4 minutes the resovior is back to orange lol but a much lighter orange...I don't have all the proper stuff for a flush at my house so it's better than just all dirty old coolant...I also have enough to do one more drain and fill tomorrow when it cools down so Im sure it will get even lighter....there will still be a tinge of orange because I can't do a full flush but it's definitely better than not doing it all lol

@@outdat3d-04zx10r-ha - Agreed. I need to buy a new coolant tester for the new formulation to make sure it is ready for winter. I've got 122K on my 2012. It's a manual so no trans problems. I can't believe how good the car has been since it was one of the first production models (built 5/11).

@@1001Hobbies that's funny because I also had a 13 and it had slightly less issues than my 14 ST as well lol . I think they got worse as time went on😂 and yea the dual clutch is kinda bad lol but you got that manual your good to go

How much coolant did u end up putting in. I drained mine and flushed so don’t no how much came out. Could only get 4.5ltres in no issues as of yet

got 2013 ford fusion hybrid an i gotta to replace tha coolant pump. An an after ima do the the cooling bleed.. i hear went is a hybrid car you need some kind of michine to do the coolong bleed is true??? Can do this procedure to do it on my hybrid car. Yes or Not?? Any body knows an tell me please ????

Is it bad for me to rev the engine after adding the new coolant if my engine is cold and has been sitting all night

It is potentially damaging to any engine to rev during a cold startup, allow your engine to warm up for at least 30 seconds before doing this as the oil needs time to warm up as well.
