I've been sewing for about a year and I finally feel comfortable giving a bodice a try. I have had the hardest time understanding patterns and I find that I learn more details when I work in a free from way. This has to be the best tutorial on making a bodice I have found online. I wish you taught a class, I would pay to learn from you! Thank you so much.

different fabrics reacts differently to a pattern and require you to re-drape for that fabric. You need to use the same kind of fabric as the draping fabric to get a better fit. If not, you will need to make adjustments on your pattern for a specific fabric to fit.
@Triniswe8 жыл бұрын

I'm still a little new to sewing so up to now I've been sewing with stretch fabrics. I'm not sure how doing this draping on my dress form would work for me because my mannequin is set to my measurements, but i have a smaller frame and larger bust and butt than my mannequin shows (I hope I'm explaining this clearly). I don't look like my mannequin, so would draping work for me? would things still fit correctly with non-stretch fabrics?
@christinegallo49836 жыл бұрын
IDKayla you could look up videos on how to pad your mannequin to better reflect your shape, I’m sure there are some. That way you can make the mannequin fit your frame, and pad out the bust and butt
