I wanted to learn to draw dragons to improve my D&D art. I tried figuring it out on my own but this video made it finally click in my mind! I'm working on a series right now, chapter 149 in the series already. I've used quite a few SCA characters as characters in the stories... Teeheehee ... They love it! "Way Beyond the Sky, Where Dragons Rule" I'been writing it for a year and a half, now. I did over 4000 handwritten pages in a year, then began digitizing I believe it was the end of November last. I've been using Facebook groups as a means to digitize as well as having 167 readers in 2 private groups ... It's fun having it read as it's written! So, I LOVE this guy's art! His dragons are bad ass! I wish I could afford to have him draw the characters! He is an incredible artist!!! I can't wait to hear from you again, hopefully on Facebook! Vivat SCA!

nice work, but here are some tips: get different references using similar anatomy. maybe study photographic reference before doing the actual artwork (f.e. both the mouth and the eyes are a little cartoony for what you were going for) next: get used to drawing your designs in different perspectives, it feels like right now you are very much restricted by very 2dimensional poses. practice breaking out of that comfort zone. also: look up different methods to construct bodies. you started with very rough construction but went right into details after that. detail should be the last thing you add, just build up your drawing with multiple revisions. to make that possible, get used to pressing your pencil with much less force, makes corrections far easier. those are just a few tips to push your work further. hope it helps you in the long run.

+Jodamanify great question - you could make more of a square oval with more rigid edges and less smooth as you draw it - that way the dragon could be molded more boxy. I hope that helps!
