A superimposed treasure map was just the finishing touch it needed. I always love on these fantasy maps those parts of the continent where there is an island chain or an assembly of islands somewhere. I always think ''Í want to go here and see what is on each and every one of these islands even if it's just some plants or brushes'' to me this is always an experience I still end up remembering later on in almost any game.

WOW! This is made with such careful attention to detail! It's a lot cleaner than my maps. The erasing really makes a difference; that white space is super crucial to helping make the landscapes and pen details pop. Just to let you know, I actually love composing musical themes for OC's, ranging from Celtic, orchestral to epic battle music. I find that music can really help a character come to life and complement their visual presentation. Let me know if you ever need music for a character or project!

One thing that I like to do is add squares (or a graph I suppose) over the map, with each square representing a day's travel. Helps keep player travel a bit more accurate, and if you're like me you can always break the 'rules' a bit and jump them ahead a day or two if you ever get bored of your players doing nothing but walking for 30 minutes.

Dude this took me back. My friend and I used to sit in class drawing maps of how we'd plan our Warcraft II strategies for that night after school. We never even got in trouble for it as the teacher was quite impressed with our imaginations. I'm definitely going to have to get some samples down now after watching this amazing video. Not sure how long I'll be, but I'll hit you up with what I end up producing for sure. --edit-- Well I've finally finished it. Wow and it's been 5 days since I replied here. So I guess I spent a lot of time working on it. Only problem is I don't use Instagram or Twitter. Is there another way to get the map to you? I've just recently posted it on my Facebook, but that's all. I intend to expand upon the map and build more continents outside of this one design. The world will grow in size through "expansions" for lack of a better word. That is as I design more maps to puzzle together with this one. I'm even going to design dungeon encounters and possibly town maps. Who knows. I don't play D&D, but I do love art.
