This is one of the best videos that I have ever seen regarding art progression or just progression in general, the best thing to do to get better in art is to visualize art and turn it into something else, let it be a League of Legends ranking, a KZbin Milestone, or the NBA. Normally, in all 3 of those fields, there has to be 3 things, Acknowledgement: Acknowledge your Goals, Mistakes, and Favourite things to do in said field. Analysis: Analyze other people who are better and more skilled than you in the industry and compare your skills with theirs (it is better to analyze the people whom their works you really like and are closer to the style you desire), even though it will be a really big punch to your ego, it is your best friend in improving. Application: Apply the things you recognized and analyzed from the masters in your industry into your works. Artists are one of the least people to do those 3 as they are already really self-conscious about their works, and doing that will only damage their confidence even more, but that first hurdle will allow artists to improve faster than ever.

This is like a perfect vid to me. Doing basketball drills, I always wondered how I could apply the same mentality to my art. But I decided to keep them separate, thinking that art shouldn't be so "regimented" like sports training. (Although I didn't realize that life drawing classes is like doing drills.) I love the way you linked the two together, and it's definitely motivating to hear your thoughts
