Hey there ;) In this marker drawing tutorial, we will learn how to render realistically looking knitwear: cable knitting, shrunken cable, bobbles, reverse jersey, row knit, eyelash knit, cashmere, etc. Together we are going to draw and render several knitted garments.

Tip 1: if you trace over a skinny model what you draw will probably only look good on a skinny person. I use photos of myself from front back and side views, then I trace my sweater ideas over these. If your idea doesn't look good on your drawing that shows your exact proportions, the finished garment wont look good on you. This is the realistic approach to designing your own knitwear. Tip 2: Color season analysis for colours that best suit your skin tone are wonderful to take all the guesswork out of choosing best colours for you. Now you can apply those colours to your knitwear ideas and you will have gone a long way to create your perfect sweater. Tip 3: Know your body type and which are the most flattering necklines, collars, and other style features for your specific body shape. Experiment with stripe directions and where a major design feature is best placed for the most flattering result. When you combine all of these three tips you are on a winner! Enjoy.

This is a great tutorial, thanks! FYI it's (at least here in the States) stockinette and reverse stockinette, not Jersey. And the Fisherman's rib is that technique. I'm in awe of your drawing talent. I gave it a go myself and it did not turn out nearly as gorgeous as yours. But I'll keep practicing!
