I have quite a few parts done to this series and it is turning out quite well. I am going to work on more of it next week when I get some free time haha. Glad that you are enjoying it!

As long as you are happy with the general placement of everything, you should be just fine. Glad that you are drawing along with me :)

I took a few classes back in college but I have always been learning on my own through reading books and practicing.

Oh good, you wrote in English this time haha. I am currently not very experienced with drawing portraits and I don't have too much time to devote to learning them at the moment and I will probably end up getting to ruins and buildings later on down the road. I do enjoy drawing them. I am glad to hear that you are enjoying the vids and I hope that you continue to watch!

I'm finally getting back to landscapes. I say, using a grid helps a lot, plus I'm getting comfortable with a wider range of pencils. Thanks so much for being an awesome and inspiring dude.

An art instructor I had last year advocated the use of the grid method, setting it up as a grid in equal parts going down to dividing it in quarters so you basically have a 4x4 grid to work with. it does work. I'll give it that.

I have been drawing on and off since I was a kid but haven't really pushed my drawing abilities until about 3 years ago when I started the channel. Drawing can be frustrating sometimes. Ill usually end up listening to a podcast or just a long KZbin video that I can listen to while drawing.

Hmm, Interesting Idea. I can't guarantee anything at this point in time but I will make sure to take it down for a possible later video. Thanks for the suggestion!

Really appreciate these real-time series Tyler. I've followed along in all of them so far, am excited to do this one next. Mine don't look as slick as yours, but they're still better than I thought I could do.

It is coming along quite well also. I think it will be a good one.

A lot have been asking about how to draw rain and fire. I am ok with drawing fire but rain is something that I have researched a bit and it looks like something that might be beyond my abilities for drawing. It is quite complex. When I get some free time, I will probably give it a shot but I have no idea as to how it will turn out.
@TylersArtShack11 жыл бұрын
That is usually something that I don't really consider doing. I make my focus about the environments and as soon as a person is added in, they will immediately become the center of attention.

I think you may have responded to the wrong Tyler haha. No matter. It is good that you are getting the hang of things. I am always trying to find different ways to try and explain how to do different things with the materials.

Have you posted a video that shows you starting from the very beginning? With no reference sketch/ picture. I just want to see how you go about setting up a scene

I really like this one. I think it will turn out VERY well. I will start my scetch, too right away. :D Like I said I REALLY REALLY like this one. :) Nice job, Tyler. :)

I really appreciate the feedback. It is also great that you are enjoying the grid method albeit, probably not the correct way to use the grid method but it still suits the purpose. Using a large range of pencils helps a lot as well which I am sure you are starting to see! Thanks a lot for the comment!

I want to get that shine you get using white - How do I use white pencil on while paper. I am trying to regain my drawing hand and learn a few new techniques
@TylersArtShack11 жыл бұрын
I don't use a white pencil at all. You are probably seeing me use an eraser and that is making you think that I am using a type of white pencil. I use the eraser as a drawing tool itself to bring out highlights where I need them to be.
@TylersArtShack11 жыл бұрын
It is a good method and I know that I don't use it in the correct manner but it still gets the job done for the way that I need to use it haha.

hello tyler. I have watched some of your tutorial vids (I'm trying to learn how to draw) and it's just amazing (your work)! May I ask you how long have you been drawing? and how not to get frustrated when drawing? thanks :)

Check out my one video on the basics of starting a concept sketch or something like that. I draw those completely out of my head. A lot of my work on here is out of my head for the most part but that video I specifically talk about what I am thinking about as I am working.

This series will go over how to draw a waterfall later on in the videos to come. I do have quite a few other videos that cover how to draw rocks and waterfalls as well.

that's not a answer just focus on what he is saying and doing. and go over and over to understand. when I found him on search. I found out what he uses for Graphite. when you see how these pencils are used you get a general idea, how this works he said it well and he explains how to use a 2H a B- pencil a 4h. it takes a bit of understanding just take notes down this what I am doing to understand which pencils to use most.
