Biomechanist here. With the arms up I do say its okay, with the arms down Id say there are many details to fix, the traps don't make such a curve around the scapula, its just from shoulder to the inner corner of the scapula, and then to the spine, they don't go outward after the corner of the scapula (although with the arms raised it may give that impression, it would be kind of okay-ish) also the proportion of the rotator cuff muscles are a bit too big in comparison with the rest of the upper back, the erector spinae are not visible not even in pro bb, you can see striations on the lumbar lat area at most, but great job

Thank you sir!! Very good lesson!! You do a great job of getting the point across even though you down play it.

When the arms are crossed, does the back get wider?
@lf198 Жыл бұрын
Yes! The back would appear wider as the scapulae move laterally to allow the arms to protract (to cross your arms in front of your body). The latissimus dorsi will stretch out as well as the rotator cuff muscles. Also, on that note, because the rotator cuff muscles are stretched, they will be less prominent. Because of that, the lines that separate the teres major/minor and the infraspinatus are less visible! 😁
