Chino/khaki trousers were a part of Ivy life ;and as such, I think they are appropriate for more casual days.

You mean American Ivy life, what he is talking about is even older than that. Think late 1800s to early 1900s, not 40's and 50's.

@@CanadaFree-ce9jnNot really, they were first used by students at prep schools in the 1920’s, so I’d say it’s an option.

I had never heard of Dark Academia before watching this, but somehow I was already doing 90% of the things mentioned in this video. At least I have a name for it now. 😀

Too much cosplay for me, when you get into decor and hobbies to match the outfits. This is good for movies, not so much for a healthy modern life. I do like a touch of vintage and admire those who can pull it off as their style, (By vintage I don't mean those who have not grown out of wearing 80s graphic tees.) I prefer to add a splash here and there like a vintage 50s overcoat with a classic suit.

It is certainly possible to mix leathers, but generally not advised to do so when starting out.
@CanadaFree-ce9jnКүн бұрын
You can't mix modern style "rules" with what he is talking about. He is not talking about fitting in at the office in 2024, he is talking a vintage look when the rules were more set and followed. Know your time frame.

@@CanadaFree-ce9jn If you look at vintage illustrations and photographs, you can see men wearing different colored leather gloves with shoes and boots.
