Interesting. This is the way I dress. One of the things I love most about it is how much less stressful it is to get dressed when there are fewer classic pieces in complementary colors in my closet to choose from. My clothes are white, gray, black, Navy blue, and denim, with a bit of brown here and there for contrast. Most of my clothes are in solids. My scarves are in the same shades with some including pattern for interest. In the last 20 years, it's become ever more difficult to add to my wardrobe because natural-fiber clothing has become rare. The price for a quality classic piece has shot up. Even designers I used to count on for quality 100% wool, cashmere, cotton, and silk, sell synthetic blends for high prices. I refuse to buy them. This autumn I spent a significant amount of time online, and finally in a Nordstrom's store, finding a 100% wool Helmut Lang black turtleneck that I'm certain will last me for years. This season, I'd also like to buy a new black or Navy wool blazer. It will be interesting to see what is out there. I'm starting late and may have to wait until next autumn. A question for you: I love the patent leather loafers with ribbon bow detail that you show a few times in your video. Can you tell me what brand those shoes are? I also agree with the poster AniMerci. Part of the elegance of Ines de la Fressange is her markedly slim figure. Your photos illustrate how much more difficult it is to look pulled together and correctly tailored in a larger silhouette. In some of your photos, I was not certain if you were illustrating a well-fitted clothing item or one that was problematic. We're still very near a time, the 1990s, when the only option for an acceptable female body type was slender. We now understand there are more body types who look good in a wider variety of clothing styles. For some of those body types, a blazer and trousers may not be the best choice.

But the title clearly states that this is a video about this particular lady! She has a certain body type, so maybe just watch if you are interested in her esthetic?

@@annemckee852Yes. The narration says, "Inspired by Ines de la Fressange." Many of the models have a very different body type, which doesn't look the same in the blazers and tailored pants.

Anyone can be elegant if they weigh 90 lbs.

Anyone can be elegant, a lot of people that are 90 lbs are not, and a lot of people that are plus size are elegant. This video is about this person and her type of elegance. Read the title.

Wait, wait… To belt a blazer you must beat in… To wear a fitted blazer that goes in the waist. You also must be thin. Just come out and say it please.

Let's be fair here! Look at the title of the video, if you do not fit this icons esthetic maybe a different video featuring someone else would be more appropriate?
