Watched all KZbin videos on how to drift I could find , from CTorretto to Kame Trick and even some real life drifters and none of them covered as much as you did. Following the other KZbinrs didn't make me improve as much because I didn't understand how to do the throttle pulsing and maintaining my line that way. Anyway I'm glad I stubmled upon your channel it helped a lot because I'm usually a slow learner.

Thank you for the feedback, I am still working on new episodes, just released one more today. I believe the reason why others withold information even, if they know it is the following: If they make you a good driver, you might stop watching their content and be on the hook, so by keeping you a bad driver and barely telling you how and what to do and how it works, you might barely do any progress, thats at least my logic.

Practice is important, but it can only get you so far, it's very important to also rewatch replays look for the mistakes and then self-reflect with that feedback on where you do a mistake and my goal is with my videos people to know the possibilities and techniques they can use, when they self-reflect and find what they did wrong.

Keep pushing the grind and practice put in pays off, remember fear the guy who practiced the same punch a 1000 times not the guy who practiced everything 50 times and barely knows shit right

Couple things I would like to know what you use. First of all where your wheelbase torque is set at? I know there is many other things you can mess up with too, but I think that's the most important one. Of course that's also personal preference and not all guys have all 32nm of torque available, but what you have find to suit you best? Secondly what type of car you should have power wise? Is it like 180hp or is like 400hp? I know you can do it with all, but what you think is the easiest to start with? Also do you recommend to have turbo or not? And if so do you recommend to set it to something else than 100%?
@projectxmotorsportАй бұрын
Hey brother, these are very good questions. 1. I'd strongly advise you to join us on our discord, I've setup settings for almost every wheel out there tested and approved by high lvl drivers. 2. I'd strongly advise to watch my new episodes, I will soon start completely new series, as the video you just watched was quite long ago 1 year + and my knowledge was not even close to be that deep, as it is now. My advise is start with E30 Drift from Kunos, you don't want turbo cars with angle kits and all that stuff, which will be very forgiving and teach you bad stuff.
@SpaceNavy909 ай бұрын
Great tutorial One unfortunate thing that determines how easy it will be to drift is your racing wheel. Gear-driven wheels like Logitech are usually too slow to steer themselves after the initiation, so you will have to manhandle the wheel with a flick to get it where it needs to be in time. Belt-driven and direct drive wheels don't have this problem as they have almost instant torque and will spin at the same speed as the in-game tires/wheel would but gear-driven wheels like the G27, G29, G923 will have to play catch up and if you just let it spin on its own it won't be fast enough leading to a spinout.
@projectxmotorsport9 ай бұрын

Also get my E30 tunes, they are free on patreon and use the "Smooth ASF" tune. You are also welcome to my Friday Free Coaching Drift Meet / Practice session, for more info jump on discord. Regarding tires, for you as starter use street on wdts, less grip = more slidy, more slidy = easier for you to control, more grip will mean car to be a bit more aggressive than street tires or in some cases crazy aggressive and snappy

Do you need Stability Control and/or Traction Control? It's been weeks now and I still can't do even simple corner drift 😢 Update: I was finally able to do it. For some of you out here struggling. It's as some others say here, seat time. You really just need to get the feel of how much throttle you need to initiate the drift. And also the timing of your next throttle. Just keep going at it.
