Beautiful video! Very pro. Great production and love the background. Just a safety suggestion: gloves and glasses. And smoothing the edge of hole with finest grain sandpaper, 220 and wiping it off with paper towel to throw away is a good before touching the hole, no glass splinters. Thanks so much

My dog passed away 2 weeks ago and I have been thinking of little ways to keep her memory around this house, and I decided to turn her glass food bowl into a flower container. It is a little thicker than the glass used here, but I think it will work. Thanks for the instructions.

Don't forget to use your safety glasses to protect your eyes, and maybe gloves to protect your hands in case the glass breaks?

Hi! Got a question...I just got some drill bits for glass and tile and they do not look like the one you used. They are a hex shank. Will that still work?

Pause the video at 2:08 You can see a huge crack in the bottom of the jar
@melmarsful4 жыл бұрын
That’s not a crack. It’s water running with glass powder...... 🙄

Have you ever drilled hole in a thicker glass say up to 1/4 inch? Do you think it will work?
@NC-wl1xm5 жыл бұрын
Wondering if brand of diamond bit matters as to performance and durability. Also doesn't glass heat up and cook the roots if using for outside?

If I don't have access to a drill, and have to resort to planting succulents in a container without drainage, will silica gel be a good substitute for charcoal?
@gardenanswer9 жыл бұрын
Jeriel Chua If you don't have charcoal, just use a fast-draining cactus/succulent soil and don't water very much. Water lightly and wait for it to dry out before watering again. I wouldn't use silica gel! ~Laura
@jerielchua18529 жыл бұрын
Garden Answer Thanks! But what is charcoal actually for, absorbing water?
@vinh39788 жыл бұрын
+Jeriel Chua i would recommend to put some rocks as the last layer in the container to make a drainage layer, then a charcoal layer which it uses for clean and absorb the water, then soil :)))

Hey! How do you decide what size drill bit? What if it’s a small glass?
@stavrosladeas44214 жыл бұрын
Thank you for making this video. I'm curious if the drill has to be in the 'hammer' setting or if 'regular' setting is fine? Thank you again, and I like the final result with the succulents!
@AngeliqueW02124 жыл бұрын
Use regular mode cause hammer will break it.

@stevenmichaelwilson19152 жыл бұрын
Don't worry. Just keep the rpms low, not to fast a drilling speed

Hi! My drill is not cordless. Am I able to still use water with it? That just makes me nervous haha Thank you!
@gardenanswer7 жыл бұрын
You can, just stretch the cord out and keep the water as far away from the outlet as possible! :)
