I always use my diamond hole cutters at low speed. Its about grinding out a hole not drilling it. High speed drilling burns off the diamonds from the bit therefore shortenning the life of the drill

Curt Cepican No I do not, but I used a hole saw in the corners and plunge cut the sides on the wet saw.

I have used several types, cheap and expensive, the costly ones work better, the cheap ones also work but they don't last as long, in any case keeping them wet while coring a hole they will all work better and last longer.

Why don’t you just cut it from the back of the tile using a regular diamond blade? Just a waste of time man. I respect the great looking cuts but after it’s all said and done, those cuts will be covered

If you are doing high end stuff, many of the escutcheon have very tight cover plates. Plus I can think of about 20 other reasons.
