[Redacted] that is probably accurate....a two rotor is equivalent to a 350 ci small block in terms of the amount of air it can move, double that with the 4 rotor, so matching the fuel requirements of a 700ci V8. Atkins Rotary is one of the best sources of info on these things ( that's where I got the comparison from ). The peripheral port is the most radical configuration. If this engine had a much milder port configuration and was geared right with proper tuning, it might get closer to 15 mpg. But then again, that's speculation

The shifting is slow in the video, as the transmission had just been assembled, and the higher rate detent springs were not yet installed.
