Awesome.I have two questions1. If car is in 5 or 4 gear then can we directly put the car in neutral or do we have to be in descending order?2. Do we need to press clutch everytime while changing gear and to stop the car?
@gizmoddict8 жыл бұрын
+Jignesh Joshi You can directly put it in neutral and then use the brake to slow down but as I said in the video, it is not recommended. Yes, you need to press the clutch to change gears. And you need to press the clutch to come to a complete stop(when not in neutral)

Good video overall. I'd just like to point out that shifting to 1st gear when slowing down / stopping is not recommended at all. It should be used only when starting.

driving is not for weak heart. i learnt to drive when i was 12. my grandfather was my guru. by 13 i was a master in driving..my grandfather would only allow me to drive when he was with me. i use to drive long distance cross country. i became a legend by 16 i knew my car inside out, i could repair my own car without any help. its a fact majority of drivers have very poor knowledge about their vehicle.. my grandfather is the proudest person..he boast about my abilities and how i mastered driving. today i teach driving and explain everything about the plus and minus of a car. most driving school are bogus and a scam. all illiterates as instructor. i go as a learner to test them. when they see me driving their heart comes go their mouth, when i stop the car without braking. or do wheelly..

@andrewvaughn25964 жыл бұрын
Ok he didnt explain very well... ok so when you get into the car you hold down the clutch take ig out of gear, turn your car on by holding break and clutch, after your car is on and turn it back to first gear by holding clutch and moving to first gear, slowly release clutch and when it starts moving give a little gas, when it gets to like 2500 or 3500 (depending on car and person and how much pressure you wanns put on the engine) you shift, when youre changing gears take your foot off the gas and hold clutch and shift, the ram will reset when you shift so dont worry about thinking it doesnt you always shift during those times, when you're reversing hold the clutch not all the way but alot of the wag down or youll fly backwards... idk if i forgot anything lmk if i did

it is amazing,I think I can drive a manual car from the illustrations provided.
@hearthacker087 жыл бұрын
also not necessary to start the car with clutches on... in fact this will reduce the clutch life.. once the clutch pedal is pressed the disc disengages and engages when you relese it.. this cause the flywheel to be running and the clutxh pedal in a cold state when it engages effectively reducing the life of clutch disc.. instead put the gear in neutral which you can confirm by trying to move the gear lever (not the box) in all four direction.. neutral is the only position which It is possible.. this way the clutch pedal also starts to warm up when the fly wheel starts spinning.. .. one more thing to check before driving is the smoothness of the clutch.. if you press the clutch and you get a smooth feeling of pressing a spring you are good to go.. if you get sudden pressure increase or release then you might have problem with the bushings or the clutch cable.. this cam be reduced by adjusting the cable length , but always better to check this out with a mechanic
@gizmoddict7 жыл бұрын
Vibin Chandran In most of the cars, you do need to press the clutch to start it. Specially in modern cars with the Start/Stop button, the car won't start unless you press the clutch pedal
@hearthacker087 жыл бұрын
gizmoddict i am driving the same car which you are driving in the video.. haven't driven something with start stop button.. if that is the case then we both are correct.. those start stop buttons and automatics are not defenetly for me.. i am a petrol head who always love to drive manual so I don't thing I will never own it... kudos for the video though.. there are many people who have absolutely no idea how to drive a manual

Is there a technique to judge the space available on the other side of the driver??? In India we have right hand drive so left hand side judgement. This is important mainly during parking.
@gizmoddict8 жыл бұрын
Nope. You just need to keep practising to get a better judgement. It is difficult at first but slowly you will be able to figure it out

Frnd if I shift my gear from 2 to 1 in 3000 rpm will car damage the clutch paddal or damages rhe car?
@gizmoddict8 жыл бұрын
Yes, 3000 rpm is already high and shifting down to 1st (which generally is difficult at higher speeds) will increase it even further. it is not recommend as it can damage the mechanicals of your car

If I am in fifth gear can I suddenly hit the break without pressing the clutch ? Will the car jump forward ? One more question ! In normal circumstances as you approach red traffic light How do I down shift from 5th gear ?Should it be gradual from 5 4 3 2 1
@YeetxBoi8 жыл бұрын
Yes it should be gradual, slow your car down approaching the light, never be in 5th gear before a redlight thats insane, but yes as you will notice a proracer will do in f1 or other cars that make plenty of noise you will hear them shift a single gear at a time as they reach each gears lowest ponit of revs most likely to prevent stalling (not actually sure but thats my guess). However, realistic situation here: You are approaching a stopping point and are in 3rd gear, you need to begin slowing by letting your foot of off the gas and pushing into the brake, once your car reachs its lowest rev point for that gear(should be good at around 1000-1500 RPM) you need to push in the clutch all the way and then shift into 2nd gear and release the clutch while continuing to slow the car without releasing the brake during this process, and then push in the clutch and shift down again and you will be in 1st gear, then follow the steps provided in the video for bringing the car to a full halt and bringing it back up to speed. Hope this helps you :)
@chinmayshanbhag15678 жыл бұрын
Ganesharajah if your speed is above 65kmph in 5th gear than no need for clutch. at red lights , just press the clutch , and the let the car come at thr required speed then put it in appropriate gear
