@TopBasketballTraining8 жыл бұрын
I think it's a matter of practice and getting the feel for it. I can't do anything off the lob everything is easier for me off the dribble because thats the only way I practiced.
@jswish7778 жыл бұрын
Hey bud not sure if this matters but im 6'0/6'1 (184cm w/o shoes) and what really helped increase my vertical and dunk consistently was to do 5 sets of squats/deadlifts and 5 sets of medicine ball box jumps straight after each set. These exercises are great as well. Lastly, try to practice jumping and touch as high as you can above the rim + try to keep dunking to get comfortable with the motion. Basically, you just need to work on your weakness - if you can squat/deadlift heaps, focus on plyometrics and speed/quickness training. If you can't lift atleast 1.5x your bodyweight for 1 rep, try getting stronger by lifting more often.

Start by learning the approach, do weighted squats, deadlift... (any lower body strength exercise), calf raises whenever you can even in the shower if you don't have the time to, try to gain in mobility : never forget to stretch and basically just jump. The more you'll jump, the more you'll improve, but don't worry if it takes a lot of time.

Liam F-B I hate when people say stuff like this. It’s not about your height, it’s more about your Standing Reach. A 5’9 guy could have a higher standing reach than a 6’4 guy, making it easier for the 5’9 guy to dunk. Stop worrying about things that you aren’t, you should just keep working hard and be dedicated.
@ratkingvolleyball5 жыл бұрын
@@BossKing1243 you are stupid, a 5'9 person will never have a higher standing reach than a 6'4 person, unless their arms are down past their fucking knees. And I have a 39 inch vertical, and I am 5'9, and can almost dunk, so yeah, If I was 6'4 or 6'2 I could dunk easily, I know tons of people that are 6' and can touch rim, however they have barely any jumping ability.

Pixel 's any vertical jump coach really, but muscle will only weigh you down if you've built too much like if you're on steroids for example, Phil Heath can still grab rim but he's too big to dunk like he used to, but if you and me focus on building muscle and keeping fat to a minimum that won't negativity affect our vertical in the least bit

How to dunk? Take some roids and jump every day. P.S. There are so many good videos with great exercises for increasing the vertical jump. This is not one of them.

Any recommendations for a quicker recovery? I just started my program but now I have muscle ache and I doubt I can perform the same way tomorrow. I don't want to risk any injury. Massage or cool packs? Thanks in advance.

There are a few ideas for techniques for jumping higherDo Bulgarian split squatsPractice depth jumps- these are performed by stepping off a box, then exploding up immediately after landing on the groundFor basketball training start with a tennis ball, then move up to a softball, then a volleyball, then a youth-size basketball, then a standard one(I read these and the reasons they work on Enyeto Jump Plan website )
