How to Duplicate Weapons, Shields, & Bows in Tears of the Kingdom (1.2.1)

Today, I'll be showing you how to do one of the best weapon, bow, and shield duplication methods in the Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. For anyone wondering; lign up the steering stick with the stone on the right(use ability to place it) be as FAR from the stick as you can while atill seeing "control" , on the 5th pulse, press control and youll succeed every time

Does this still work? As I was about to play today and try this out there was an update for the game as well as for the switch itself. Could it be they’ve patched this out? No matter how I try I can’t succeed. Even when I times it correctly it took both me and the steeringstick and spat me out, still visible. Or am I doing it wrong? 🤔👍🏻😊

@@TOGade-dj6jh working for me. If it eats you both and the camera moved with you, then timing was off. If the camera didn't move and everything was done right, I'll double check. I updated and it worked but I'll try reroll the update and reinstall just in case. Will update shortly Edit; still works :)

pro tip for the stick timing: watch the pulses of the like like's orb thingy, and click "A" on the 6th pulse!

Uh I don't know if anyone else experienced this but I got a glitch where the game thinks I'm holding a sword and shield and everything even tho I'm holding nothing and I can still kill mobs and everything and I think they have infinite durability 😂

For anyone wondering why link’s model lags behind after doing the glitch, all you have to do is save, go to Home Screen, close software, open, load, and link will start behaving again.

OMG!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I have version 1.2.1 and I used to never use my Hylian Shield until the final boss battle because I didn’t want to break it… BUT NOW I HAVE 12 OF THEM!!! if you dont change your bow after duplicating,you can get the invisible bow glitch! (with infinite durability, the bow depends on the last sacrifice bow)

Can confirm any weapons that drop into the well are recoverable if you go in after them. However, do so at your own risk of going invisible again, haha

Interesting theory… I just tried this glitch (it worked, thank you so much) and when I didn’t have anything equipped, the weapons I originally dropped and picked up again were the same as before EXCEPT my weapons were all set to none. Note that I picked up the weapons BEFORE I touched the steering stick (replayed the memories to pick up weapons THEN grabbed steering stick) The duped weapons were still in the inventory, and they worked, but those old weapons were still in my hands. Unfortunately, the shield and weapon were just there, and Link stood there like a dope while swinging with air, but the bow actually worked. Temporarily, I had an extra weapon in place. It’s currently still in Link’s hands at this point, so maybe I’ll go find a way to get a duped Master Sword glitch

ah yes, I think I know what your talking about. When being "culled" (when u turn invisible) during glitches, Link gains alot of weird properties. One of which is the weapons ur holding turn invisible in some instances. I'm not sure about the Master Sword glitch, but I do know that you can do a method called arrow smuggling when being culled. I'm not at all a master at these things though, so I recommend checking out other channels like "Suishi" who understands glitches much better.

How to get out of the “culled” state: (That means when you fall you go invisible!) Save your game, then reload it. Warning, your game might be bugged a tiny bit if you do this, but I’m sure it will fix itself*. (*Due to updates and whatnot.)

A tip for climbing up the well, then stepping down from it: Turn around with your back facing the steering stick and do a backflip towards it before you turn invisible. I've seen a lot of people having the issue that when you just "step down" from the well's edge and turn invisible afterwards, the items that you drop can fall down into the well, since your back is facing the well and you'll be very close to it. The reason for that is, when dropping >equipment< in general it usually gets dropped just a space behind Link's character model. Try dropping a bow from inventory and you'll see where it's placed, especially when you are facing the camera's direction. By doing a backflip off the well's edge you can position your back facing away from the well. The items will then be dropped away from it and won't fall down into the hole.

Yeah that tends to be the hardest part. If the like like is swallowing you but you're not turning invisible than it means the timing is off. Theres no perfect way to get the timing right though, it's mainly just trial and error. So if you keep trying over and over you can eventually get it. Hope that helps

I believe that the donor weapon has to be unfused (not 100% sure), but I'm pretty sure the duplicated items can be fused. I would try out both.

Disclaimer: While I was doing this glitch some times it would freeze me and I couldn’t do anything so make sure if you are repeating it to save after you duplicate your item so that if this does happen then you still have your items that you duped

I messed up on that last bit, everything froze and I could not watch any memory. In my case I accidentally picked up the sword instead of the grabbing the steeringstick and I think that’s what did it. So don’t press A until it read Control would be my advise 👍🏻😊🇸🇪

Sometimes I succeed in the first part (being swallowed together with the stick) but then the ability to ascend is not taken away and if I go to the surface I don't become invisible. hmmm... that sounds interesting. I've never experienced that so I'm not fully sure. I'd first check what version you are on, cause that might effect things. And if you are on 1.2.1 and it's still not working, then I'd recommend checking out other peoples tutorials like @suishi or @gameislifer 's. They go a bit more in depth with some things, which might help you out. Hope that helps a bit!

ah yes, there is a scenario where your game soft locks. It sometimes happens if your weapons fall down the well. Theres no real fix for it, you just have to keep trying basically. Hopefully this helps a little bit.

i did the glitch and at the very last step i accidently picked up one and now my games broken uhh what i do🤷‍♂ i fixed it did it again it worked and heres a tip you cant do it with the master sword but if you did the weapon you had equiped will disapear but it will be on your back and if you try using it the sword just stays on your back and your using thin air to hit stuff

You sadly can't do it with the master sword cause one of the steps requires you to drop your weapon, and the master sword can't be dropped. It would be sick if you could dupe it tho.

Yep! The newest update right now is 1.2.1, so you can for sure do this on your switch. They might release new updates in the future though, so I would turn off auto update in case that happens.

When it eats me, link does not turn invisible, it just spits him out normally like under any other circumstances, also even after I was just spit out the first time I have full access to my arm wheel, being eaten does not impede any use or accessibility of the arm nor does it turn me invisible..... It should still work, it's most likely just that you can't seem to get the timing of the likelike correct. I recommend trying a newer, much easier method which is up on my channel :)
