Oh no!! Try practicing in a time where you’re not getting ready to leave. Meaning you can take your time.. work through it. If you start to get upset walk away for a minute! I don’t know about you my hair is LONG and THICK 😬🤭 my arms get tired 😂😂 I have to take breaks!! 🤷🏻♀️ no shame! Plus I get frustrated when my hair isn’t cooperating and I have a tendency to chop it off.

I’ve literally always never been able to dutch braid and have mental breakdowns LOL. But anyways I’ve tried so many videos and none of them have worked except for this! It took so many videos for it to finally click! Anyone who is looking at comments let me give you some tips because my aunt is literally a pro and this is what she gave me. 1. Start with SMALL PEICES. I’m talking small or else the braid will start far back. 2. If you want it to go straight back do as demonstrated in the video (2nd option) because I didn’t want except the fact that that was the only why it was gonna go straight back cause it looked hard BUT IT REALLY ISNT IM TELLING. 3. I know you probably don’t want to hear this but PRACTICEEEEEEEE.
@LaineyMarieBeauty Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! I agree with you and your aunt! You definitely have to practice! That's key!! I didn't learn to dutch braid over night. At 19, I practiced infront of a mirror over and over, failing many times, every week. One day, it clicked! I hope the same for everyone reading this. HUGS!

Omg yes! The arm breaks are essential. I usually do one side first and then tie the other side up, go do something else for a few minutes then come back to it to let my arms recover. Another tip is to do you less dominant side first so for me J do the left side first because the right side is naturally easier so I save that side for when my arms are more tired

I NEVER KNEW how to do the double dutch boxer braids that go to the BACK but have always wanted to!!! I regularly do the ones that go to "the side" but they just don't do it for me. I will ONE HUNDRED PERCENT be trying this out! Thank you SO MUCH Lainey! I subscribed yesterday evening, a few videos ago lol. Request if you haven't done so already, and I'll do my best to explain: sectioning the hair into THREE sections to make three boxer braids that go to the back- one in the middle and two at the sides! 😍 I'd like to try this both as an option for a new look, and to see what kind of heartless waves/curls it would make. But I don't have a clue how to section it out, and previously didn't know how to get the braids going to the back. I suppose even demonstrating the same three sections with the option of the braids going to the side would work too 😊
