Glad I found this video, because I bought a UCP bivy bag, but my jungle, and intermediate sleeping bags are OD green, which I couldn't find an OD bivy, I wondered if being waterproof, if it could be dyed, I will attempt to some darker green dyes to do so thanks for the video.👍🏾👊🏾💯

the outer shell in gore-tex is nylon and it dyes like any nylon. Just use low temperature so it does not delaminate (layers don't fall apart)

Haven’t got them out in the rain yet, I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t the material doesn’t seem compromised at all

@@CitadelDefense1I would be more concerned about them still being as ‘breathable’ as goretex is designed to be? Heard on another vid suggestions that the dye may block the pores in the goretex preventing moisture transfer but their only speculating
