How To Dye Your Hair Lavender/Pastel Purple {Manic Panic Ultra Violet}

Hey everyone! I apologize in advance for the light in this video, it gets super bright and then dark because I was using natural light and it was fluctuating quite a bit.
I used the Manic Panic Ultra Violet Colour (about a teaspoon) and the Pantene Pro-V Smooth & Sleek Conditioner with Argan Oil (almost half the bottle). I still had some left over after doing my whole head.
I have never dyed my hair myself so if you have tips please let me know in the comments! :)

The Manic panic is a deep conditioner. So regardless of adding the extra conditioner you would not feel “over processed”. I think that color is beautiful and I’m jelly ❤️

Nadia - The View Is Beautiful So far it lasted two washes. I did it again last night and added a bit of extra purple so maybe it will last 3 washes this time? Not long but it's fun just to have it lavender for a few days anyway :)

Ok I am freaking obsessed!!!!! I have been wanting lavender or cotton candy pink or grey hair for so so so long but I'm unfortunately cursed with the dark hair gene! It looks AMAZING on you! you must keep us posted to how long it lasts. Holly Housewife Girl, I have naturally brown hair that was dyed red at least 10 times along with many other colors, and I was able to go blonde in 2 hours. It will definitely damage your hair, but if you baby it, it's not that bad. Just definitely go to a higher end professional and make sure they use Opalex. It was so worth it for me.

I can only speak to my hair but it fully washed out after about four washes. It didn’t leave any pigment behind or any weird tint. Hope this was helpful!

spiffykerms Haha I record the video normally and then mute the sound while editing. I have a little mic so I plug that into my computer and record the voice over with that! Oh man what a little sucky baby Buffy is. She was crying for me when I had her out in the hall and then she was crying when I let her in too lol I love the lavender, but it only lasted one wash. Two washes and it was completely gone. It's a fun temporary thing to do though :)

You mean sandy blonde? If so then yes. Do a bleach bath, it's when you mix equal parts bleach, developer, and shampoo. Then afterwards tone it with wella t14 or t18.

+Cam Cam Totally agree, you should lift the colour first. Manic Panic also has a product for this to use before applying the colours. I believe it's called the Flash Lightning Bleach Kit.

That's true, my hair did have a slightly grey tint to it but was gone after a few more washes. I repeated the process once a week :)

I saw the Ultra violet online and it seemed veery dark.. there was a light lilac colour called virgin snow. Are you sure you used ultra violet? I dont want it to turn dark purple lol
