This is my go-to toning every time I go back to my ice white and I just previously went back ice white currently. Also, if you end up putting too much purple in it and it accidentally dies your hair lavender, it washes out so fast that you'll be back as a silver ice white in no time. You can even put this color straight up on your hair without diluting it. And it will completely fade to a lavender and then a silver ice white. That's why I love this hair dye because you can get a very bright, strong purple then go to a lavender and then a silver ice white. So you basically get three type of hair colors in one hair dye

This is incredible because I have two yellow pieces at both sides in the front of my hair that are driving me insane! I had heard from previous videos about toning with ultra violet manic panic or the voilet, whatever it's called, but nobody really shows it the way you did so I could better understand it all. This is amazing and I'm so happy I stumbled upon this video! I'm in awe about how much it actually toned your hair without dyeing it purple at all whatsoever! Woo that was so cool! Great method!! I've been using this way of toning for years at home with perfect results. I once tried to treat myself and go to a proper hairdresser, only for her to use the chemical lightening process where you mix bleach with toner.. It gave me horrific chemical burns! Completely unnecessary, you can go from quite yellow to white and silver without any extra lightening AT ALL. I have dark brown hair, almost black and use Nordic Blonde L1++ box bleach once a month with great lightning results. It's much gentler than every other pre made, hairdresser blend or home made mix I've ever tried, I definitely recommend it!

Heat from the scalp opens up the cuticle so any color absorption is maximized.

I'm totally going to do this soon, after I remove the rest of my current color and bleach my roots. Maybe I'll do a bleach bath on the rest to make sure it's lighter, too. I'm actually planning to dye my whole head with Ultra Violet, but from the color swatches it looks like if my hair has any gold tones in it, I won't get that bluish purple that I want. It might seem a bit silly to use a little bit of it before I use a lot of it but I'm hoping that if I have a cooler base to start with I will get the color I want at the end. I'm really excited to use this method to get the yellow out of my hair!

I could never get this right, so I just ended up using Virgin Snow with a tiny bit of UV and Blue Steel with a base of Shimmer Lights conditioner. The margin for error is MUCH more generous this way and I'm speaking from experience.
@MajICReiki Жыл бұрын
I tried shimmer lights on my yellow. Did nothing 😅 its pretty light yellow but my underlying natural hair is very white, so all fye removed is the only color to tone over. It's been frustrating. I will try this.
@divergentthinkingproductions Жыл бұрын
@@MajICReiki FYI, don't use the UV. Just stick to Virgin snow or silver stilletto and a touch of blue steel, and again use with some purple conditioner as a base (it helps stretch the supply IMHO). Even the tiniest UV tends to overpower everything else and leaves a violet tint
@MajICReiki Жыл бұрын
@lethalforcethemovie thank you for the suggestions! Only thing purple conditioner has done for my hair was to wash into some of my white roots when rinsing and a few strands took some grey tone that I don't want 😅 My hair didn't turn white "naturally", it did from nearly dying...so I've wondered if that affects it somehow?
@divergentthinkingproductions Жыл бұрын
@@MajICReiki There's a lot of trial and error doing it yourself, but I have learned three things: 1) soak you hair in coconut oil for at least 15 minutes to protect your scalp and hair; 2) you're going to have end up doing two passes to really prep your hair. I've ended up doing a pass at vol30, waiting a week, and then doing a pass at vol20. Honestly, I should probably just stick to vol20 both times but it never does the trick. And 3) you're messing with your hair so have 6-8 weeks between processing, which basically means you need to lean into that look. I'm salt and pepper so I can let it go and look ok, but if you've got more color than gray it's going to look off. Hope this helps :)

i have a question if i don’t have enough paint will adding the paint to conditioner increase the amount of dye and will work?
@Leslie-karren3 ай бұрын
I understand this is an old video, but I'm hoping you'll respond. Is there a reason you applied to dry hair instead of towel dry. I really need to get this yellow out of my newly bleached hair. I was going to tone it with Ion violet, but I'm kinda feeling the blonde. So I thought I'd try to get the yellow out and see if I want to keep the blonde for a minute or 2.

@@Leslie-karren when I put it on wet hair in the past it never worked and absorbed anything so dry hair it is for me 🤷🏼♀️ hope that helps

Is it possible to use purple shampoo instead with conditioner? Or it needs to be the manic panic?
@vi0lencex69 Жыл бұрын
does this work with another dark purpleish/blue dye because the specific one isn't available on amazon right now for some reason

It’s looks beautiful!! One question. What level would you say your hair was before you toned it? Because I’ve bleach mine twice already and it’s still yellow. Is there a certain level you recommend for me to have the best results?
@TheGlamPixie4 жыл бұрын
hello! definitely a level 9 or 10 is ideal

Can you put the manic panic on first for half n hour, shower it off with shampoo and then soak(tone) with conditioner and manic?

already using manic panic ultra violet with basic conditioner, but why it cant turn out to lavender, instead more blueish color, is that okay to use?
@orbu823 жыл бұрын
I thought I found the holy grail of toners: healthy and effective. Turned my hair blonde-blue/green. Cool tones, but not the desired effect, unfortunately. The yellow in my hair interacted with the blue undertone in Ultraviolet. ;-(
@TheGlamPixie3 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that. The whole point of this is to make your hair much less yellow and more of a platinum color. or a little violet like mine was. Did you use manic panic? Did you have something else in your hair turning blue /green just doesn't seam right.
@orbu823 жыл бұрын
@@TheGlamPixie Yep, used Manic Panic Ultraviolet and followed the instructions. I guess my hair was too yellow to begin with. I had no other product previous to that. Strange. I suspect that the blue undertone in the Manic Panic together with the yellow in my hair created the green.

@@TheGlamPixie I have some orangey tones in my hair as well - should I add a drop of blue from Manic Panic as well, do you think?

I would do the ultra violet first, then if need go back and spot correct with blue if I were you!
