Don't you need a $150,000 annual personal income for the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege credit card? You can't get it with a $65,000 salary.

That’s correct - $150k personal, or $200k household income. - Steve

@@martyanthony4116it’s not a suggestion. It’s just a rule that’s not enforced or that particular employee didn’t do their job properly. It’s a grey area I suppose, if nobody asked then you technically didn’t lie

Get the regular card first, use it a lot and pay your bills. I'm sure you'll be able to get the IP card after a good history.

The strategies you shared are super helpful, and I love how you broke everything down so simply. Can’t wait to try them out myself 🙂🙂

Have you considered the cost of maintaining multiple cards? The annual fees essentially offset the value of the points earned, and those points depreciate at a faster rate than cash in a savings account. This strategy might only work in the short term and then you have to cancel the credit card and get your credit score impacted.

What’s the better deal right now, this or TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card or TD First Class Travel Visa Infinite Card?
@PrinceofTravelАй бұрын
That’s a bit of an apples & oranges comparison. princeoftravel.com/guides/miles-points-for-beginners-why-flexible-points-matter/ By first-year value we have the TD First Class Travel slightly higher on the current offer: $825 vs $683. However, Aeroplan points can be redeemed for outsized value. - Steve
@jeremythebeer8609Ай бұрын
I think the Aeroplan is the better choice. Aeroplan's program seems to be gaining momentum.

Maybe they also take into account the people with roommates that split rent? You can rent a two bedroom in Toronto for 3k and split it 1500 each

Amex business platinum. You earn 1.25 points per dollar spent and can transfer to Aeroplan at 1:1 ratio or other points plans. Great card!

The American Express Business Platinum would be an excellent candidate. So would the American Express Business Aeroplan Reserve. Amex cards just dont work man. 80% of the restaurants in my hood dont accept amex. I buy groceries from costco and Loblaw they dont accept amex either. im getting married next year but none of my vendors take amex. My landlord refuses to use Chexy. Amex cards are completely useless in my case.

Chexy is masked as an etransfer. Your landlord never needs to know you use chexy.
