Zacian with the sword has immunity to dragon and poison, Sceptile has no fire moves and I doubt it has ground type coverage

I might try Alolan Sandslash (If no Drain Punch), it resists Grass and Dragon and with it being slower than Sceptile, Avalanche should hit relatively hard

So, what's the vibe on Froslass? Tera Ice with Snowscape to boost defense and delay Solar blade, and Snowcloak to boost evasion. Blizzard for a guaranteed 110 power hit in the snow, and Aurora Veil for damage mitigation. And Draining kiss for healing. Thoughts? EDIT: Or rather, how about Avalugg? Still Snowscape+Aurora Veil to mitigate damage, but then also Curse for attack up, and Avalanche for big damage. It will surely attack last, but with a Shell Bell and the damage from Curse+Avalanche, it should possibly be able to outheal whatever damage Sceptile deals.

I’m thinking Sap Sipper Fairy Tera Goodra. I’m not sure if Kalosian or Hisuian version yet but if Sceptile does have a fighting move it might be worth opting out of having that extra Steel type at the beginning. Goodra will then be immune to Dragon and Grass type moves. If Sceptile does hit me with a Grass attack it will just boost my Attack stat instead. Moves are: Acid Spray (lowers target’s Spdef) Tera Blast Breaking Swipe/Charm (lowers target’s Attack) Skitter Smack (lowers targets SpAtk) I could even forego the above two moves and use Tearful Look to lower both Attack and Special Attack at the same time. That will free up a slot for Curse.

It would be interesting if the sceptile had a subseed set with swords dance and a sitrus berry. This raid feels like it could either be overkill easy like tera charizard or surprisingly tough like tera cinderace.

Sceptile could be carrying Grassy Seed which would be immediately used up if it went for a Turn 0 Grassy Terrain. This would then activate Unburden, thus making Sceptile a pretty big threat.

I would also think about the combination of Worry Seed, Leech Seed and Mega Drain. Not to mention some way to activate Unburden, which will not be great when combined with Acrobatics. A Fairy type is probably going to be the more sound option. Flutter Mane would stop any Fighting and Dragon Moves. If Sceptile uses Sunny Day then you wouldn't need it on your build in any way. Sceptile can negate abilities for one turn, so if it manages to do that after powering up then It could do nasty damage to a Azumarill that hasn't recovered from Belly Drum.

IDK about the physical attacker set that everybody is assuming Sceptile will have. Does the added coverage options make up for a 20% drop in the primary stat? Will they simply cover for the lower primary stat with an early scripted Dragon Dance? Both physical and SpA have grass (STAB), dragon (tera STAB), and fighting (Ice coverage), so all we get with the extra deep physical pool is...non-STAB coverage moves that don't offer coverage for the primary weaknesses (no poison, no steel). We get a rock-type move or a flying-type move, both of which will hit for neutral damage on anything anybody is bringing.

On Team battles If it does not have Rock slide or Tomb Articuno would be a great pokemon use hail get the boost for ev(with his HA) and df, use a reflect and spam blizzard. It is does not have a good ground move Fezandipiti with accid spray, nastly plot with (aluuring voice, dazling gleam or moon blast) will be really good too, will just need taunt if Sceptile get any boff moves. Arceus can change to any type, but also learn Accid Spray and also be a suport with reflect or light Scrren a weather move and a super efective move. Jirachi may be a good option depending on the moves. If Sceptile go more on the debuff side Galarian Zapdos can be a option. It can learn taunt, Thunderous Kick besides doing damage also lower defence, can learn coaching. Pokemon who can debuff are really great in raids because it works for everyone on the team. People like too much focus on buffing themselfs, but if all have a debuff move for DF or SP DF and do it in 1 turn it will lower the enemy DF or SP DF 4 times in one turn and than any attack will make great damage.

@lanluhylrean1122 fair point, but it's neutral to fighting. Sceptile might not even have drain punch and is more a special attacker(though its physical isn't bad), but even so use chilling water to lower physical attack stat

I was thinking Azumarill with its Hidden Ability Sap Zipper with Shell Bell & Fairy Tera since Sceptile LITERALLY has nothing to hit Fairy types. For moves i was thinking Playrough, Belly Drum, Tera Blast & Ice Spinner/Ice Punch but this isn't taking when stats are reset into account. There were other Sap Zipper options but i didn't really like them. Annihilape is ol' reliable

I wonder how feasible Hisuian Goodra will be. Steel/Dragon, has anticrit (I feel we're due to a permacrit raid via Focus Energy + Slash/Leaf Blade and similar) and can set up on their face. Weirdly, it could just have Tera Fighting and go for the Body Press.

I know it seems strange and I agree with you, Sceptile should be a special attacker based on its base stats. I think it’s more likely it will have physical attacks due to it having only swords dance as a way to boost its stats. The general pattern with the 7 star raids has been they all have some form to boost their damage through a raid, so why physical seems to make sense here. In all honestly though I think it’s more likely Sceptile will be a mixed attacker but this is all speculation until the raid goes live.

Dragon Cheer only applies to allies. The only way to boost its own crit rate is with focus energy, which it can't learn.
