Hi Claire, great sand shots.. I appreciate the tutorials. Was wondering if this technique is just for playing it high over a high lip, or do you use this technique, and lob wedge, for just about all greenside bunkers?

Thanks Paris and Claire. These tips are great as we all have different weaknesses in our games. If possible i would like to see you both explain how you work out your distances for uphill and downhill shots/ into the wind and downwind for approach shots to the green. Also what ball are you both currently using? Thank you

Another great video from the dynamic duo! What about weight distribution? Is it like 70/30 on your front foot every time? Or does it depend on the type of greenside bunker shot?
@bobbys43273 жыл бұрын
@@patrickm.inacio3938 Yes! Hard packed sand tips would be great! I live and play in New Mexico and we do not have fluffy sand here. Usually it is pretty hard, enough that when you say bounce on a club, that is actually what it does. The club bounces into the ball and you blade it.

You guys have the luxury of playing on some amazing courses. Many of us play on local courses that don't have the best sand. Would be great to see a tutorial on hard vs. soft sand and what to do differently.

Ladies, thanks sooooo much, I do appreciate it. Even though I am a 7 handicap, the weakest part of my game is bunker play. I have bookmarked this vid and can't wait to put these tips into practice and play. May you both hit nothing but fairways and greens. You ladies rock!!!!!

It must be wonderful living within close proximity to so many courses that are both challenging and difficult to play, due to the undulating fairways, placement of bunkers and Pin placements on Greens. Yet you both have solid Games & are awesome with how much you Teach with each Vlog. Great work Claire & Paris.

Excellent tutorial! I had no idea how to do bunker shots at all before this. I just used the force. You guys should do a 5 club, 9 hole challenge. Get two more ladies to join you two then each of you can pick only 5 clubs for the entire 9 holes and leave the rest in your car. If you want to make it more challenging you could do 4 clubs instead. That would be fun to watch although a bit frustrating possible for you guys. LOL

Thanks for the tutorial. Would really like to see the front and behind the ball shots in slow motion to see the angle and hand positions at impact. So many methods, flip the club, hands leading, ball position in stance. You did give us that but even in replay it is hard to catch hand position at impact. I struggle with alignment and Claire did explain that. Club alignment and swing path. A full speed and slow motion there would have been great. Paris' front facing shot to show hand position and club face at impact would be instructive. Great job and I'm liking what you ladies are doing! Looking forward to seeing it put to work on the course. Not that you hit allot of Green side bunks. You seem to like the fairway bunkers more. 😊🥰 Thanks ladies!!

As ever, sound advice and demo to get out of bunkers. The face open always seems awkward to me but knowing it is not the same back swing makes more sense.
@000001willy3 жыл бұрын
Claire with your first four bunker shots I thought your club face alignment was a little, that is with the club face laid out flat it should have the leading edge perpendicular to the direct line from the golf ball to the pin or with very slight adjustments for how the ball will land and roll to the hole once it lands on the green. I always picture the open club face coming from the outside to the inside so that the rounded bottom of the club makes contact with the sand so that the club face passes under the golf with the club face square to desired line toward the pin, with the club face fully open and then passing under the ball with the club head swing plane coming out the other side in line with the line running parallel to the tips of your toes. The level of effort, i.e. strike force determines how high and how far you want the ball to fly before it lands on the putting green and begins to roll. All of your shots landed about two feet left of the hole, rolled past and behind the hole, all with makeable putts but with your alignment being slightly off to the left you missed out on possibly hitting the hole or the flag which could deaden the ball and make for a closer putt.

Great tutorial! Would love to see more instructional stuff from Claire and Paris. You ladies have such polished golf swings, so you do it automatically, but would you share a swing thought (or a drill) that really helped you improve your full swing? For example, Chris Ryan has a video about how the downswing can be similar to your left arm hiding and then slowly revealing a logo on your shirt, and that has really reduced my tendency to hook the ball. Or maybe your favorite mental image of a full swing? Is it like skipping a stone on a lake?
@sas9493 жыл бұрын
I love this format, more tutorials please. It's always a pleasure watching Paris and Claire, those two are great at golf and beautiful, so it's a win win. Claire, you set up left of the flag and all your shots went left of the pin, were you too much left ? or was it the slope of the green ? Steve, UK

I need serious help out of bunkers. We get a lot of rain here and the bunkers can get hard quickly. When it's not rain, the sand is fluffy. Can you discuss the different sand types we may encounter? Also, you didn't talk about hand position. Should the hand position be neutral or forward? I have a bad habit of have my hands forward at address on probably too many shots.

Thanks so much for that tutorial. It looks like in Claire’s high soft shot she has the ball in the middle of her stance. Is that correct? Also when one plays in less than stellar bunkers that are basically hard pan underneath the ball what adjustments need to be made? Thank you. Love the channel!
