I highly suggest loading one mod at a time and then opening the game so you can confirm that it works and if not which mod to trouble shoot. If you bulk load the mods like shown in the video, you will get very frustrated if it doesnt work.

I second this, got over ambitious and bulk installed about 20 mods. Now I've deleted them all and I'm verifying integrity. Anyone else reading this, DO NOT BULK INSTALL MODS!

just letting you know. mod fixer is currently breaking the files according to top posts made recently. unless it's a mod that has mod fixer already attached to the mod. the bg3 mod fixer itself is currently bugged n npc's not reading that X Quest item is in your inventory to progress through quests. it's all over the comments on that mod. Resolution: Remove mod fixer n any mod that needs it n your game will work just fine moving forward PS: Really appreciate the video! :)

Followed your guide but for some reason I spent ages with the bin section only to realise they'd automatically transferred themselves into the games bin file.. Interesting. Much love for the tutorial.

NVM i got it to work! You are also suppose to copy the .pak files into the Data Folder pathway Also click "Refresh" to make sure the mods are active. If oyu already have more than 4 members in the party, remove one of them to "rest" and add them back to get > 4

Great video! Have used this tutorial twice now. To those of you saying it's too fast, I recommend setting the playback speed to something slower! That really helped me with seeing what he was clicking on.

Followed every step, went to use All items in camp and now the game crashes on save. i've updated all the files, unactivated etc, and absolutley nothing. Guess i'll try from a clean isntall of everything. Man this really sucks, I can't even play with the mods off.

At 3:29, you mentioned some mods will either be Bin or Native mods but mine are neither of those so where do I put them because I still tried with them In bin but It never worked; I got my Pak files into the mod manager just fine and everything In this tutorial has been amazing for me to follow as I'm not good at this stuff but you never stumbled upon the issue I'm facing In the video so would you know what to do?

@GameSteed Would you be able to do a video on how to either temporarily disable mods (including the override files) to play multiplayer, and re-enable them again for personal games? I went to play with friends who don't use mods, had to delete all the mods and and hunt through my files to remove all the override files. Is there an easier way?

I don't get why people use BG3MM. Every mod author says to use it in the description, yet I have had no problem installing any of those mods with Vortex. Is there any answer for this? Vortex literally auto-arranges your load order and you have to do it manually with BG3MM which is infuriating, so that is why i would like an answer to this.

Because it didnt exist when bg3 first came out. There is no issue with vortex, it was outdated so the modders did not update their descriptions. Everyone should use vortex now that its out unless you wanna spend hours fixing your mods yourself and manualling updating everything. I dont get why this guy made a tutorial on bg3mm when vortex is working and just flat out better

thank you for this. But cam anyone explain to me what the overwrite mods do? I just wanted a simple dice mod, but Mod Fixer is broken and since I don't know what it wants to overwrite, I'm not really keen on breaking my game files and having to "repair" them if I want to get rid of the mods entirely, if that's the only way to restore the game back to the original that is. I just want a modded dice but if it breaks the game because of Mod Fixed, kinda ironic name at the moment, then I'll hold off on it.

So I have followed all the steps in the tutorial, mod is installed and showing up in my game. However, none of the modded armor/shoes/belts/etc can be equipped within their actual slots. Funnily enough, they will all show up in the 'clothing' slot, only when I toggle camp clothing visibility though. I know there are three baskets, with one specifically for camp clothes - but all three bag satchels lead to the same outcome. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong - am I completely thick-skulled or does anyone else have this issue!?

So, say I have one save for my modded playthrough, and another save for my vanilla multiplayer playthrough; once I uninstall my mods from my modded save so that I can play vanilla with my friends, will anything happen to my modded playthrough's progress once I load it again after reinstalling the mods? Is there a place to find troubleshooting for this? Larian pushed out two patches that were for MAC users, not me, and right after that anytime I highlight over head gear my game crashes to desktop. Reviewing my application logs shows a problem with the latest version of net framework. I have a version higher than the one listed on the mod page but no idea who to talk to to get mod manager updated to work with whatever Larian pushed out.
