I have tried two years in a row to grow hops from seeds, but couldn't get them to germinate no matter what I did. There are some hops growing over an archway in our community garden. After I watched your video, I got permission to dig up some rhizomes. Now that I know what to do, I'm going to plant them in containers, and maybe also plant one directly in the ground. Thanks for the great information!

Excellent! It’s really the easiest way to propagate hops. Hope it goest well!

i liked the worm on that big sucker. I've been growing my hops in a large container for a couple years and it shoots straight to the sun. Recommend for anyone wanting some easy cheap green shade. Thanks for the video!

Very informative! I’m just wondering if I can plant straight into the ground or should you grow in containers first. It was also kind of difficult to tell how it was laid in the bucket. Is early spring best time to propagate?

Yes, you can plant directly into the ground. I like to pot them up so I can pay closer attention to them in a nursery. They are ready to be planted out by fall or the following spring. I find spring to be the best time but I’m sure fall would work.

i was so tickled to find an actual do of the propagation and i could barely see. Its blury...and busy
