BullittMcQueen Hi Mc. I just got a JM Pro and planning to get into 3gun. What i noticed on my JM Pro is that its so hard to load shell on the chamber using the bolt handle (pulling the bolt handle to charge). Is there a way or modification i can do to make it easier? Help please. Thanks so much!

OK, saw your M2 video and now this one. As a starter shotgun, I may just give the JM Pro a try. It will be A LOT cheaper than the M2. I like your videos. Very professional.

I'm running the Mossberg 930 Patrick Flanagan model, which comes standard with a 12 shot tube, where did you get your extended tubes spring from? Always nice to have an extra because it is a 57" spring most are 46" ...

I could not understand the Mag extension tube you use, what is it?
@dmcgreg10 жыл бұрын
Would you mind posting the specs of the mag extension (overall length)? I may see about making my own. It seems Roulette Tactical is no more, and Nordic is no longer making their XXL end caps so apart from upgrading to Nordic's MXT tubes there's no other option for a capacity upgrade.

Hey bullet what's the rule regarding chokes sticking past end of barrel for 3gun I wanted a broken choke that stick out from my barrel so I know which one is in (not that I would forget) but then reading rules was concerned that would put me in a different class? Please can you clarify if you know
@jusgoonin7 жыл бұрын
*Briley choke
@bullittmcqueen7 жыл бұрын
Doesn't matter you can use them, a fairly large percentage of 3-gunners use extended chokes because they are much easier to change out. Doesn't change your division

I'm trying to get into 3-gun. I have a 930 SPX, so the barrel is 18.5 inches. there is a 28in turkey barrel available. would that length be fine, or would the 24in be more practical for 3-gun?
@bullittmcqueen8 жыл бұрын
+SnakePool I would use the 18.5 as you get started. It will work just fine. I've never seen anybody shoot a 28" in 3-gun

I just love it very informative indeed! Thanks Mac. The Philippines is being flooded with lots of 3 gun competition right now. What's your take on Turkish semi-automatic shotgun? Will it take the beating of the 3 gun requirement? Is it not a bad set up considering budget? Thanks for the advise. By the way I love your series on Gun Life.
@bullittmcqueen9 жыл бұрын
Timothy Martini Not that familiar with the Turkish 3-gun model other than knowing that Matt Burkett at Predator Tactical is about to release a model that was built in Turkey, so it has to be fairly similar. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for watching!

Hey Mac, the 930 turned out nice man congrats. I plan on meeting up with you in GA sometime to shoot a match together man, as I live in Greenville so not to far from you. My question is sights... I have the 22” JM Pro (I got a screaming deal on it from a guy who had only shot 1 box of shells through it and then needed the cash) and am curious about if you need to shoot slugs through it during a match. I am slowly but surely equipping myself to be able to compete. A, Is that a scenario that you have run into during competition? and B, If so, what kind of sights would you recommend? I am trying to decide and find a belt/caddies now. My hands are way too small to load quads so have been practicing duces (not from a belt obviously). Any recommendations on that as of 2018? I know equipment changes faster than you can make new videos...lol Thanks for your time, energy and efforts. I enjoy your work.

as a beginner who competes in production/factory matches would this force me to move to unlimited? since the rules say no internal or external mods?
@bullittmcqueen9 жыл бұрын
+Chris Bennett No, the wording regarding that is peculiar but the only reason you would have to move to open/unlimited would be if you had optical sights, magazine fed shotgun, or ports/muzzle brake on the barrel. Internal modifications and loading port mods are ok.

Great video! I own a Mossberg 930 22", that I "used" for multi gun. I now own, and use, a Versamax for multi gun. I really liked the 930 but my issue with them is that it is really hard to buy parts from Mossberg. I also would like to have the lifter welded but Mossberg will not sell any to you. That is not a good way to do business. Great gun though, too bad.
@bullittmcqueen11 жыл бұрын
That's very true. Their unwillingness to sell parts is really frustrating. Fortunately for me, I built a 930 Turkey into a 3-gun shotgun previously, so now it serves as my backup gun and "parts gun". I felt a lot less scared to weld my lifter knowing I had a spare.

can u explain to me why when I quad load why does it spit a round out...I have the same gun mac....it's like a ghost load....
@jusgoonin7 жыл бұрын
Your not pushing round in deep enough that's why people modify lift gate and port because it will chew your thumb off. If you do happen to do that it solved quickly by cocking the carrier back it will spit the round in chamber out but it will clear loading port so you can feed remaining rounds into mag

Bullitt - Can you tell me what shells you use in your jm pro during competition please? I am breaking mine in and I have had some malfunctions.
@bullittmcqueen10 жыл бұрын
I have no problem with 3 drams of powder shells, and 1 oz of shot. I run 7.5 shot in competition. Some jm pros have trouble with light target loads, you may need to steer clear of those.
@DE213710 жыл бұрын
Understating you bought your chokes from Briley. I recently picked up a JM pro series but the 22 inch verison & they came with the wrong chokes. Only choke I have is the modified one that I'm currently using. I would like to get an extra full choke so I can keep a tight pattern at distance. How much did you buy your chokes from Briley? What's the model or product number? I've been on their website but I don't want to order the wrong ones. Thanks!!!!!
@bullittmcqueen10 жыл бұрын
DE2137 Try this link: www.briley.com/mossbergextendedblackoxideportedshotgunchoke.aspx. The chokes will say "WinX2" on the side because they also fit the Winchester Super X2

hey ive been on your videos awhile.all i need is a shotgun for my first match on the 16th of july. i want something i can use for skeet also with a simple barrel change. do you think it would be best to just do a stoger3000 with a 28 inch barrel for now then get the shorter later plus extras to match with the m3k has. since i cant shoot skeet with a 22 but i can with that or do you think i should go with a diff idea
@bullittmcqueen7 жыл бұрын
Get a 24 or a 26. 28 is too long for 3-gun but the vast majority of shooters shoot a 24 or 26. You can shoot skeet all day with a 24.
