That is such a brilliant concept that I would not have tumbled upon by myself in a million years. Your knowledge of guitar is truly humbling every lesson you post shows me how very limited my own is. Thanks as always your lessons are amazing.

Im a decent player but honestly have problems with blues, mostly because i really don't like it much. But frequently i am asked to play blues. I usually learn the song note for note. I have some tools in my bag for sure. This here thing you are teaching, Charlie, is exactly the type of thing I need to break the monotony. No, I'm not a boring player, I'm fairly good. But I do get bored when blues tunes are required. Thanks much for this fresh prospective! I will integrate some of it into my playing and hopefully be able to kick those blues blues, if you know what I mean lol. You're very good at explaining this. I subscribed because of you ability to do so.

@@JeromyBranch really cool comment. It sure is easy to think “blues…here’s a couple pentatonic licks, I’m done and this is really boring.” But there are a lot of harmonic possibilities to explore!

Amazing stuff, Charlie. Do you have a link to any of your videos that might help me build up to using triads like this? Thanks!

Hello Charlie 😇! Another excellent tutorial on spicing the blues riffs by combining mixolydian mode with the minor pentatonic and adding arpeggio and chromaticism 👍! Just a small suggestion? Maybe you can show the two octave scale of pentatonic which i've seen you play before and also the mixolydian scale starting from the low A root note on both scale to really empasize how both differ from each other and how simple it is to remember 👍! Keep up the good work and keep on rockin' charlie 👍🎸!
