Another reason why PD consistently gets "best software" reviews! Straightforward, easy and intuitive. (Rather than doing your lift manually at the end, you "can" use the programmed fade-in, but the manual option gives you more control!) We've passed links to your Channel to many of our friends (those who are willing to learn, that is!) Hopefully you'll have a few more subscribers pretty soon!!

+Titantramp4u You can raise or lower one clip by adding keyframes to the ends of the clip and adjusting them or by placing it on a track by itself and using the audio mixing room to raise the volume of the track that it is on.

Thanks for another great tutorial, Maliek! Do you know if there's a way to adjust the audio for the whole track instead of just one key frame dot at a time? I always end up setting a keyframe at the beginning and one at the end of the track and make sure they're the same level, but it seems like there must be an easier way than this? Thanks man!
@PDU_Tutorials8 жыл бұрын
+babyteeth4 You can change the audio of an entire track using the Audio Mixing room. I show how to use it in the video.
@chrispritch8 жыл бұрын
I need to know this!! Drives me mad having to do that!!!
@JoelK8 жыл бұрын
+babyteeth4 My technique is click the whole audio track, go to Audio Mixing Room, manually enter a value (background music for me is normally right down at -28DB). It makes the whole track one volume. Without that the stupid track has one volume at one end and rises back up towards the end of the clip. I would have thought a simple hold and pull the whole gain up or down (like ProTools) would have been a no brainer.

Hey, a little after 12:20 you said you were going to drag the volume all the way down to zero, but powerdirector considers zero the normal/initial volume point from what I've noticed so far (it does sound wierd saying negative infinity to mean no volume). Two things: 1. Useful: I've learned that when using that mixing room that when you place your play head somewhere that you could, instead of using the slider, type a volume number into the box in front of "DB" such as the zero and click enter (this helps to be more precise and helped me a little bit with my #2). 2. I understand that once you click on the volume clip and you want to insert a volume keyframe that you left click, but when I do that it doesn't just stay at zero, it tend to jump just a hair. If I use the audio mixing room I can get the 0 volume keyframe point (the starting volume) no problem, but is there a way to get that value by using the left click on the volume clip method? I've had a bit of learning pains trying to make this audio perfect and whenever I try to take one point back to the normal zero I could only get like -.4 or 1.3 unless I use the audio mixing room, but if i go back to a point later via the audio mixing room it doesn't seem to know I'm saying adjust that one particular point which is why I must learn the drag method better. 3. I've had to use 2 or 3 tracks to make an audio track for my video track and I'm going to use produce to make it a stand alone audio track to insert in my wedding video. Before I do that I want to adjust the total capable system volume uniformly since it seems low overall. Is there a way to do that or should I go ahead and produce it and then adjust by left clicking on the audio clip and adjust the DB there?
