In this video, I show you how to edit your current inventory on BrickLink using BrickStock. In this example, I show you how to keep your store updated to the 6 months sales average, or any other prices, sales, etc. that you would like. BrickStock is a third party program that is amazing for editing your inventory and saves hours upon hours of time.

I suppose one reason to "pay for it" would be to support the creator and his small business similar to the one you operate. Seems to me that his product has saved you atleast $20 worth of time.....every time you use it.

Good morning, I just came across this video while attempting to overcome an error I have encountered with Brickstock. I was using Brickstore but was unable to download my bricklink inventory so i figure I try brickstock. I attempted to load the inventory from demo mode but to no avail, so I purchased the $20 key hoping that would help but to no avail again. I re-enetered my password several times, including pon a text file and using that as a copy/paste but to no avail. Has anyone found a remedy to this beside password entry? This is the error I get while trying to download my inventory to brickstock: Error: Could not parse the XML data for the store inventory: Line 2, column 3: error occurred while parsing element

Is it possible to delete parts out the bricklink inventory? For example you don’t want to sell some parts anymore

Yes, but to my knowledge I dont know if you're able to do it within BrickStore (formerly BrickStock). I think you'll have to manually delete on BrickLink from what I know.

Hello, I'm using Brickstore to manage my inventory. The main items I sell are "COMPLETE USED SETS" and I have a problem with updating prices from Bricklink price guide. On used sets there are a lot of people that sell incomplete sets at lower price and this makes that average price is lower than the real "complete used sets" average. I'm wondering if there is a way to update prices of my inventory based on the average price only from "used and COMPLETE" items. This will be a more realistic price. It will if you are utilizing a syncing platform like brick sync, Brickpacker, or Brickfreedom.

Paying the $20 just helps support the developer, which seemed worth it in my mind, so I did. I didn't know about this feature, sounds useful. Also, parting out sets in Brickstock is awesome! I commented on one of your part out videos about it, but at the time hadn't noticed this video or realized that you are in fact familiar with Brickstock even though not parting out sets with it. PLEASE HELP. I need to know how to add random separate parts (so not from sets) quickly, without having to do so one by one. Is there like an option to do that? Like you select the part and color and then you add them all and then you just use BrickStock to set the prices to the 6 months average sales value? I have a lot of random separate parts and I don't want do add them one by one using Bricklink :(

Personally, when we part out sets, we just do it inside of BrickLink, though we may experiment in the future with using BrickStock more.

Just downloaded BrickStock and it looks like it could save me a lot of time with my BrickLink inventory. I do have a question though. Is there a way to organize it so it shows my parts in the BrickLink order? Condition, color, part, etc. Like the New Black (other color) Brackets then the New Black (other color) Bricks then the remaining New Black (other color) pieces in alphabetical order the way they show up on the BrickLink inventory. I can get it to show me all the Light Bluish Gray pieces at once, but not in condition, piece order. It is a bit time consuming to have to keep jumping up and down on the list to update the pieces I have.

Hey - great video! I had a super random question - I'm trying to upload parts for the 501st Battle Pack - Set 75280 - but whenever I load a new document on Brickstock and search 'All Items' and enter that set number, even with the -1 at the end of the set number, nothing comes up - Have you noticed Brickstock not loading sets? Is it becuase I need to refresh the feed from Bricklink so that it searches and can download the parts for this set? Its something I had never come accross before when using Brickstock....

Hi Evan, When I go to mass update my inventory and I copy/paste the XML file into Bricklink it gives me an error on every item saying "1. Lot was not found. Updates for this lot will be ignored." Any idea on how to fix it?

@@JustABrickInTheBucket it comes up and states Incomplete Item - There was a problem importing the following item: It then lists the item and gives me options to either update or skip, so I try skipping and it then errors for every piece that comes up so I just stop and end the program? does my store need to be closed to do it?

When I paste my data into Bricklink the only thing that shows up is . I can UPLOAD just fine, but whenever I try to UPDATE it won't work and I have to do it manually, which is a pain. Other than the fact that I'm using a PC instead of a Mac I don't see any difference between what you're doing and what I am. Thoughts, please?

Hello Evan, I have one question from sweden. i have a lot of lego bulks that i want to inventory to my shop. is it easier to use brickstock instead do that using bricklink?

Depends what you are trying to do. If you want to upload a lot of pieces at the same time, BrickStock is the best way to go. You can slowly add parts into the program and then upload to BrickLink when you are all done. If you are okay with slowly adding parts you can do it on BrickLink piece by piece. The benefit to BrickLink is by default it will tell you if you already have a specific piece in your inventory. Thanks for watching Jonas!

Hey. Nice video again. I tried it with my store. I think BrickStore crashes if it becomes too many items. I tried with over 7000 and it says BrickStock is not responding anymore and crashes. I think I have to do it in parts :)

Occasionally when I do it, I get it not responding as well. If I just leave it, it usually figures itself out. If not, you can just do portions of your store at a time. Thanks for watching Edwin!

Yep. Brickstore and Brickstock are almost identical, with just a couple layout changes. But the process is the same.

I have the same issue with that parse error. I have made several attempts with my password and username but to no avail. I even typed my password on a textfiel and pasted it to bricklink to confirm it works and it does then I use it on brickstock and I still get the parse error. Anyone else having same issue and found a different resolution to this?

When you change a price on a piece to put it on sale (like 10% off), how do you get it to show that you marked it 10% off in the sales column? Can’t find a way to to indicate it in the sales column or is that for something else? Also, will it show my customers that that piece is 10% in Bricklink doing it that way?

Hi again AKATurbo7! What you do inside BrickStock to make the piece 10% off is add the "10" to the sales column. By changing the piece price, it does not track the % change from the past 6 month sales average. If you put the pieces on sale in BrickStock, it will reflect that to your buyers...BUT if you only lower the price without putting a sale on the piece, it will only show a lower price to them. At the 2:12 mark your dropdown shows the functionality to import "Bricklink store inventory" directly. My version of the program (the current one) does not have this tool. Any idea why? I am on Windows. I tried making an XML export from Bricklink, then just using the Open function, but I got a 'could not parse ...' error. The XML tags when you export vs a regular BSX file are different and I even tried doing a find/replace. So frustrated I cannot use this tool!

Hmm. To be honest I have no clue why it wouldn't have that feature. I'd recommend uninstalling completely and reinstalling BrickStock. It definitely should have that feature. If that does not work, I can try and help more by installing it on a windows computer and trying there.
