Thank you SO much for the small comments as you use the tools telling us specifically what tone they are affecting. UI labels for sliders don't always provide the full context and it really helps to hear (example: vibrance affecting midtones versus saturation affecting highlights and shadows -- never knew this).

I learned something new about the color grading: Hold the shift key to keep the selected color as you adjust the effect. It's a tool I need to play with a bit more. Thanks!

Awesome. It’s a very powerful tool. Check out a waterfall video I posted not long ago, I showcase the power of grading on that image too. Cheers!

If you hold ctrl instead (on Lightroom) you can adjust the tone without touching the saturation😊

It's such good advice to leave your edits marinating for a day or two. So many times I've finished an edit feeling really pleased with myself and posting straight to instagram, then looking at it again a day later and wanting to die.

Hi Will, the focus of your editing tips videos is always spot on. There's enough in the tutorial to be really useful and teach something without going overboard and overwhelming. I find the speed you are doing the adjustments and explanations of the workflow is right too, not too fast so it can be followed and makes sense. It's all very relaxing and I like the way you encourage people to experiment and do their own thing with your workflow suggestions to get results that they prefer. This is a good addition to your most recent retouching masterclass... for anyone else who is interested I can thoroughly recommend your courses, there's loads to choose from..

Thanks a lot. I know it can be daunting when you’re starting out. Just take it slow and don’t be too hard on yourself. Glad my videos have been helping. Keeps me inspired knowing that :)

Excellent suggestions for adjusting tones. One thing I like to use instead of vibrance and saturation is the color calibration panel. It appears to lend a bit more control.

I learn so much from watching your tutorials. On this occasion I loved how you colour graded your images. Watching this I learned that I generally overcook my images. Might have some fun and reedit some of them. Cheers.

This is the first video of yours that I have watched, and I learned a lot. I have been struggling with a mom and two baby river otters in the water shot in raw. The color of the water is so ugly green and after working on it for a few minutes I closed the photo and moved on. After seeing your video, I will go back with new insights on how to tackle that photo. You are right that each day, or even hour we are developing our photos brings a new perspective and mood to our photos. I have subscribed and look forward to more of your videos. Your teaching, photos, and even your background music are a style that works for me. I am happy I found your channel. Thanks!

That was so animating - I just had to go out and take a few water pictures at the Rhine. Then I worked on them, following your recipe. It's different, because the coulers are different. But it works and is good fun. Now it is marinating 🙂

Your opening remarks hit the nail right on the head. I look at the RAW images and say 'rubbish' - delete, 'rubbish' - delete... I don't keep any. This is embarrassing. Can I use the excuse of being a newbie (18 months)? Loved your use of the histogram; that will really help; same as when taking shots. (Late commenting, William. Been off camping and clicking.)

Excellent video again. Some really great tips I didn't know in colour grading. I'll be sure to start experimenting. I'm by a lake and haven't been very inspired. It's a very busy time of year lots of traffic and the one thing that is not impacted are the waves. Thanks Cheers
