What a joke. The most common hydraulic failure is caused by contamination and these jokers are dragging the parts through the dirt at every step. You can buy standard rods pre-chromed that would cost less and be better quality. I'm sure it did the lathe ways alot of good by dropping heavy parts on them. Using vernier calibers is ridiculous. Why would you weld the nut to the rod? Is it because the the threads are so crappy you can't count on them holding?
