Rebecca... You would probably love a slow cooker. They even have liners you can buy so you don't have to clean the insert. You can dump, stir and go on about your merry way. Or, an electric pressure cooker, also called an instant pot. You can walk away without fear of burning anything. And it will keep everything warm. The stainless steel pots are easy to maintain too.

Great video Rebecca! I love everything you do... except standing on the counter with sandals on... I would certainly fall off! (Love your sandals!) I couldn't stop thinking about your window. What if you put in a half circle window above the kitchen window? Or, if there is no view or light to be gained by that, you could hang a half circle architectural piece with a mirror behind it to give the illusion of having a larger window there. Also, raising the wall between the two rooms is a great idea but it would be cool if it was arched like your other doorways or you could put arched corbels on each side. That way, when you sit in the other room, you are looking at curved lines that complement each other and are consistent with the rest of the house. I love the copper idea for the hardware too. I can't wait to see what you do!
@Renee9332 жыл бұрын
Definitely like the darker paint color.
@bmjjjja2 жыл бұрын
Love the copper idea. It will be repeated in your barstools and you could remove the cabinet doors around your hood and cover the hood in wood which will speak to the copper color. Change your desk area (desks in kitchens are no longer a thing) to a charming wine bar/wine storage or even a barista style coffee bar. You don't have to do it with cabinetry, you can do it with a sofa table type countertop and crate type storage below and up the right side (since the window is not symmetrical). Your other wall across from it, would be a great wood feature wall. Go a tad bit warmer gray for paint.

Rebecca, you are so creative and always do such a great job of making things look so lovely and pulled together. Love your esthetic even though my style is more minimal. Personally, I would go with the lighter paint color. As for the window, the reason you notice how short it is is because it's dark wood... have you thought of possibly painting it the same color as the cabinets or the wall color, so it visually blends in?
