I'm actually adding more vents to my Mission Hybrid today to solve this exact problem. Last weekend I converted my trailer from a 4 pin to a 7 pin for 12v accessory power, added a second dome light for above the sleds, and 2 work/reverse lights off the back. Plus I added a breakaway battery (I dont have trailer brakes) to the trailer to power the lights for a short time.

Nice looking vents Tom. They should definitely solve your moisture problem. I probably would have mounted them the long way with the cover acting like a rain guard, but you mentioned that you had some heavy rain and no leakage, so that's a win! Nice looking trailer too. Any videos of the axle replacement?

Thanks Ken. They've definitely helped quite a bit. When I bought the trailer, the decking was always wet, almost to the point it felt saturated. Within a few days with the vents installed, the trailer has completely dried out. I didn't film the axle replacement for this one, since I had already had a video on my channel for it

Thanks so much for the info!! I have a 2022 nitro in the ceiling was soaking wet. I was sizing up insulation to insulate it, but when I saw the ceiling was soaking wet, I’m like what the hell am I gonna do now. Now I know I didn’t know they made such a vent. I’d say nitro, or to reimburse us for the cost of the vents for their poor design. Same with their traction mats they were horrible. I’m completely redoing it with caliber mats. Thanks again.😊

No problem. Glad you liked it. One thing that needs to be done during the winter and leading is too remove as much of the snow from the sleds as possible before loading them up. Regardless of the ventilation, if there’s an excess of moisture from snow melt, it’s still going to condensate.

i need to do this! what if the vents were installed horizontally? Would you be able to leave them open all summer without rain flowing in?
@StreetersGarage2 жыл бұрын
I’ve had the vents installed for about 2 weeks now and we’ve had several storms with rain and wind. So far, I haven’t seen any signs of water getting into the trailer and they’ve been open all this time. Going horizontal shouldn’t be a issue though.

Those used tires are still new on one side. They will be good spares . Nice trailer.

They remind me of the tires that Ralph’s father from a A Christmas story used on his car. 😀

ok its been a while…. Does this fix the wet condensation walls in the trailer? need to know if its worth doing to mine or not.
@StreetersGarage Жыл бұрын
Yes. It’s pretty much addressed the issue. Key thing is to eliminate as much snow and ice from the sleds before you put them in there.

That’s how this one was. Until I put the vents in. The floor was constantly wet.

I got a mission trailer that looks like that. Where you get those tires and axel?
@StreetersGarage2 жыл бұрын
The tires were ordered from E-Trailer since my local supplier had no stock. You can also source the axle out as well from them too. Check with a local supplier if you can.

Wouldn't have been easier to cut your holes after you put the plywood in? Not so wobbly??

Yes. I should have done that.

Did this work?
@StreetersGarage Жыл бұрын
Yes it did. Trailer remains very dry. Just remember to clear as much snow from the sled as you can before bringing it in. During the rest of the seasons zero issues.
