French Knot is one of the stitch that I can't do yet🥲

Hello! It comes with practice :) Maybe our video about basic stitches may help you kzbin.info/www/bejne/qH-toZ-JeqtgorM (French knot is on 2:57 of that video). While doing a French knot, it's important to keep the tension of the thread with the other hand, also the size of the needle matters.

I bought a little 5 dollar starter kit and it's crazy hard to get the needle's eye through the fabric. I am using the 3 strands on the instructions. What am I doing wrong? I have to really pop it through.

Probably it's the fabric. Try another fabric if you can, or a smaller needle. We usually recommend natural linen fabric, it works well for embroidery.
