Preset "K" is just "Latest". If you want the latest DLSS version, use preset "Latest". A-J are older fwi.

How about you provide the actual instructions for how to use This preset K becasuse so far all people have done is talk and provide fake instructions. Every DLSS option in the NVIDIA app is still greyed out even with the rights versions of evverything and reinstalling the app. And I haven't found a single instruction anywhere from anyone tlaking ab out this or even links to instructions for any files, or tools and programs such as the swapper, the NV inspector, the xml, the actual files themselves for manual replacement All anyone does it talk talk talk and say things that simply aren't true. Yes ragnarok does not support it in the Nvidia app but you can use DLSS Swapper app to choose the 310.2.1 DLSS its the DLSS 4 version even if its called 310!! I have tried it and it looks good but it has a hit on the GPU. And DLSS Swapper lets you go back to the original in one click .

Tried it on Hunt Showdown. Only gave me the option to force either DLAA or Ultra Perf (33%) both set to preset "J" ... and wow Ultra Perf is insane! Native I get 60-80 fps and with new set up its at 160-180fps and looks sharper? HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?

So I tried it in DRG and for me one issues stood out. When ever enabled objects like the doors frames and details on the space righ scale back and forth in size an thiccness whenever I approach them or gain distance. This is clearly more hallucinating then DLSS 2.x or 3.x but considering its the first version of it the image clarity with DLAA is insane so to speak

Nvidia App is a big fat zero for me. I have been testing with dlss info turned on and it is not working right. It does fine with automatically switching dll's for upscaling, but it does NOT for frame gen. If I tell it to use latest it will use 310.2.1 and preset K but if I turn on frame gen in app it still uses installed dll and sometimes installed dll's don't work. Also no way to override frame gen either right now. I also got a few fps back by uninstalling app. DLSS Swapper and manually copying latest files works fine, no inpector needed, all I tested so far defaulted to the latest preset.

I believe this setting is for games that do not natively support DLAA or DLSS ultra performance as an option. Many older DLSS titles only had DLSS with quality, balanced, and performance. Now you can use native resolution DLAA or ultra performance modes in games that did not already have those options. It's actually pretty cool.

The app is broken. It changes presets fine for dlss but doesn't change frame gen to new versions, and probably doesn't change dll's for ray reconstruction either. For instance, I can tell the app that I want to use latest dlss on game 'X' which comes with DLSS 3.5. DLSS loads and shows version 310.2.1 and Preset K like it should. When I turn on frame gen, frame gen shows version 3.5, NOT 310.2 like it should, and no way to set override to latest for frame gen (greyed out). Sometimes it breaks the game. It is STILL easier to use DLSS Swapper and just uninstall Nvidia App.

DLAA is DLSS without scaling. DLSS up-scales, ie if you set the game to run at 4k, and turn on DLSS with QUALITY setting -> it renders the game at 66% of the value (approx 1440p). DLAA removes the scaling, ie it renders at FULL resolution, but uses a very TAA like anti-aliasing that doesn't suck as bad as TAA, while leveraging the Tensor cores. DLAA is the anti-aliasing portion of DLSS.

you can use "smooth motion" in any game that doesn't support frame gen if you have a 50 series card. it ads a additional frame to your non-dlss and/or frame gen game.

@ TBH I have played returnal, and recently diablo 4 that I swapped the dlls file with and they didn't get me banned. I think games that run 3rd party anti cheat(like easyanticheat) might detect a change in files and flag you. For example Warframe has it's own launcher and everytime you launch it, it verifies game files and then downloads if something is missing or corrupt and everytime I swap dlss it downlaods the old file and swaps it back.

@ There is an option that you can check that says display games that don't support dlss swap and that's basically your entire game library. I haven't ran into any problems so far. It'll also show games that don't have inherent dlss as "N/A" so you'll know which games you can modify.

not touching this app. It still bogs you performance down in games if you also record (shadowplay). Nvidia is about to send their devs back to college for 20 years to figure out how to fix this.

The app does have a minor hit on FPS, but if you are recording you are going to lose FPS, these is no way to fix this. Its an alterative to recording with OBS on the same PC Nvidia App / GeForce Experience takes less performance hit than OBS. OBS you will lose ~10-15fps depending on settings where nvida is 5-7 fps hit no matter the settings. Its why capture cards are are still a viable option if you are wanting to record and not take a performance hit. I used a capture card here into a 2nd PC so theres no drop in FPS, most of my gameplay videos are done with the capture card for that reason.

Nvidia app is trash. It killed my fps even with overlay disabled. And some overrides don't even show up as supported yet. I use the dll files from CP2077 and nvidia profile inspector to force preset k, which is the latest.

DLSS 4 only works on 50.series cards. There is no override to get games that don't support it. There is no updating the app or drivers to get any RTC series card to use it. This is a 50 series card update only. No one is using this on a 20, 30, and 40 series carda

I have all the updates from today and all the options that are supposed to be usable through the app to force unsupported games don't exist The options are shown in the app but are greyed out and unsupported and don't bother with the uninstall and reinstall the app and press the 3 dots, or update to the latest drives because I already did all that and guess what, it's greyed out and unsupported and there is no way to access it it's not in the app, or the desktop control panel, or anywhere.
